Simply Stunning–

Michelle Obama’s dinner dress cost more than the annual poverty level in the US.

Via Twitchy:

Stu Burguiere @WorldOfStu Michelle Obama's dress = $12,000. US Poverty Level = $11,490.

Last night the Obamas hosted a state dinner for French Socialist leader Francois Hollande.

Michelle Obama wore a $12,000 dress – while the rest of America suffers through the worst economic recovery ever.

Boy, if there were an actual opposition party in this country, they could use this to fight the Democrats.

One would think for twelve grand she would have a dress made that is more flattering or at least less highlighting of her enormous derriere.

That woman is NOT eating her peas.

I am not so bothered by this. I wonder if this was taxpayer money though? But it is a State Dinner and a fancy affair, so fancy dresses are pretty much required. Also, the $12K figure was a wag from a CNN host on one of their shows. Another guest guessed $10K, I don’t know how they can tell by looking.
We must not be hypocritical while pointing out the hypocrisy of the left. Seems that both sides flip on every issue depending on who is in office. If it was a Republican lady, we would be OK with it. So what we have to do is say WE are fine with it, but taunt the “occupy” crowd with the 1% angle of it. How about going over to DU and posting “Welcome to the 1% Michelle! Way to go!” ?

Might be one of her worst costumes yet.

I imagine the left press will be gaga over it tomorrow though....

Hey, good drapery material is hard to come by.

Lol! You know those tabloid mags that show two celebs in the same dress and ask who wore it best? We totally need that here!
