Speaker of the House John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor were elevated to their positions through the hard work and votes of millions of limited government constitutional activists who made the 2010 Tea Party wave election possible.
Yet from the moment he took the Speakers gavel Boehner has been intent on diluting the influence of the limited government constitutional conservatives in his own House Republican Conference and undermining indeed often actively opposing the agenda that the vast majority of House Republicans campaign on and voters expect them to enact.
Boehner and Cantors latest betrayal of Republican voter expectations is yet another increase in the federal debt limit enacted yesterday with a mere twenty-eight Republican votes.
Conservative reaction to Boehners latest gift to President Obama has been nearly unanimous opposition, with many conservative groups and opinion leaders who were formerly willing to give Boehner the benefit of the doubt now joining CHQ Chairman Richard A. Viguerie in calling for the Speaker to be replaced.
Matt Hoskins, executive director of the Senate Conservatives Fund, said what many conservatives are thinking when he told The Washington Times, Republicans must know that conservatives expect them to make a change at the top, and were not going to give up on this until John Boehner is gone, Mr. Hoskins said. Its sad that it has come to this, but enough is enough. We will never stop the massive spending and debt that are destroying our country if the Republican Speaker of the House surrenders to the Democrats and stabs conservatives in the back.
The Club for Growth was equally direct in calling out the House leadership for scheduling the first clean increase in the debt ceiling since Boehner became Speaker: When we heard that House leadership was scheduling a clean debt ceiling increase, we thought it was a joke. But it's not. Something is very wrong with House leadership, or with the Republican Party. This is not a bill that advocates of limited government should schedule or support.
Were happy to have the Senate Conservatives Fund join ConservativeHQ.com, For America, Tea Party Patriots and Freedomworks in calling for John Boehner to be replaced as Speaker. Heres the list of shame of Republicans who supported the clean debt ceiling increase:

In Senate support Matt Bevins to replace Mitch McConnell
“clean” debt? It’s time to clean house, ours and theirs. CONFISCATE the assets of these socialist criminals for the damage they have done to the republic.

I am ashamed to admit that KEN CALVERT is my RINO congressman.
I called his office in DC and gave the person who answered the phone a long piece of my mind.
We need to light up the phones of these 28 Quislings and if there is any opportunity to challenge them in a primary then we need to get started on it now. June is coming.

This same tactic....Democrats + 15 republicans is how Boehner will pass immigration reform AFTER the election in the lame duck session.
He has forsaken the Hastert rule.
According to the Washington Post, though Pelosi remained coy before the vote about whether she could deliver enough Democrats to pass the the clean debt increase, behind closed doors Pelosi and her lieutenants “instructed rank-and-file members, ‘dont gloat, take it in stride and hang together.’”

As the late Joseph Welch wouldn’t have said in this case: “Has the Republican Party any shame?”
Don’t CA primary voters require Calvert to be on the left? Not excusing his vote, as many are uninformed; but it’s liberal, liberal, liberal there.
Calvert’s district is dark red. He voted for this crap sandwich because he thinks he lives in a safe district and people will reelect him simply because he has a “R” next to his name. But he is beholden to business interests and committee assignments and basically votes the way Boehner tells him to.
He is Boehner’s puppet. He voted for this crap sandwich to give Paul Ryan cover to vote against it. They are buddies on the Budget Committee. Quid pro quo.
