A Buffalo, N.Y. community activist who is well known locally for pushing for a highly restrictive 2013 gun control law has been arrested for — wait for it — carrying a gun illegally at a public elementary school.

Since we have the advantage of hindsight, given who is was that triggered all this, the response was only 10% of what it should have been.

One question...

These newspapers that are trying to compile lists of concealed carry permit holders...will these newspapers omit the records of ivory tower liberals like the subject in this artical?

I actually know this jerk through a mutual friend. To be honest and fair to him, I really do think his heart is in the right place in regards to some of the work he does in the community, but unfortunately, his head and commonsense is completely clouded in the extreme liberal cesspool he baths himself in. Even our mutual friend, who’s fairly left himself, thinks Dwayne is “pretty far out there.”

I just have to laugh at how, despite this guy being so anti-gun, he forgot that he was actually carrying his. Seriously????? Your packing and you don’t know it???? That is the perfect posterchild of somebody who shouldn’t be carrying. And considering how much effort and backing Dwayne put into getting the Safe act passed, I hope they throw the book at him. He is precisely the type of danger his SAFE act was designed to protect us from, LOL.

If he gets off easy there should be an immediate volley of lawsuits to revoke the un-SAFE Act on the grounds of selective enforcement. I would shove this down Little Andy’s throat as deep as possible along with every un-SAFE Act supporter.

Is there such a thing as a misdemeanor gun charge in New York?

To be honest, he sounds like a well-intentioned guy who fell in with the wrong crowd. He never should’ve gotten involved with the unSAFE Act people in the first place!

>>When I am carrying, I NEVER forget that I have it with me.

He probably had it in his man-purse and thought it was in the other man-purse he left at home on his vanity.

If they wrist slap him, it’s actually better for us. It shows prosecutorial whim. The ability to selectively enforce laws is just another form of cronyism.

The rational legal continuum is end administrative law and the ability to plea bargain. We are guaranteed courts for a reason.

Deal with it, Big Baby! I hear he really threw quite a tantrum in front of all those students. The look of shock, after being bitten in the As# by your own rules, hoisted by your own petard, falling into your own damn hog trap. It is to laugh!!

Your observation is correct, but I'm not so sure of your analysis.

I have been pointing out "laws for thee, but not for me" and selective enforcement in my Socialist police state for years to no avail, (except harassment), and I find plenty of Just Us, but no Justice, except when I sit on the Jury.

Thus my tagline.

You’re right on a lot of issues. Here in Chicago our corrupt State’s Atty and CPD covered up a murder for Daley’s nephew. Nobody went to jail, yet. The public felt it was a cover up, but until we get a real choice, I don’t think they see a way out.

That issue is hard to explain. People tend to write-off criminals and even the accused as guilty of something.

This issue is different. It’s a simple to understand case. It’s full of hypocrisy. Most of the country agrees with us on the 2nd Amendment. It involves the safety of CHILDREN. So it’s sky high on the public relations list.

It’s a no-win situation for the libs. I think this one is a winner across the board.

One thing conservatives have to learn is that people don’t want a revolution. They want good government. If you can deliver that via tax and spending cuts and do so consistently over time, we’ll win.

You forget you have a cell phone. You forget your comb or cars keys.
You don’t forget you are packing a weapon. Like forgetting you have a head on your shoulders.
