The point of posting this article is to demonstrate the total hypocrisy of the left, when they condemn Putin for having a law that forbids homosexual propaganda to MINORS, but not a peep about protesting what goes on in Nigeria, nor any protest against Sharia law, which is the basis for such actions.

Well, Obama did support a Secretary of Education who like young boys, so he is true to his word.
Let’s see those gay activists so gung ho to protest against Putin, go ahead and try that in Nigeria.
Putin is “White.” Nigeria is “Black.” That explains why the left condemns Putin and gives Nigeria a free pass.

Maybe we ought to see if an objective journalist can be found to report on what is happening.
Nigeria is also Britain’s second greatest failure when given their independence. (Ghana was the first with Nkrumah and his form of communism).
The problems included the three separate tribal segments there - Xhosa; Fulani, and Ibo, (if I remember my groups correctly). Christians, Moslems and some nativists.
Biafra was a break-away movement/state crushed in a lot of blood.
Now “sharia law” Islam is being imposed in place of the uniform British system, which is why this gay man was beaten instead of being left alone.
Islamic rule (as opposed to an individual’s peaceful practice of Islam, not the fundamentalist kind) has destroyed civilized societies and countries, as well as keeping some in the 14th Century (like Afghanistan, Pakistan, parts of Iran, the Caucuses, and some of Iraq).
The West, esp. the US under Obama (the closet Moslem), has practically abandoned Africa Christians in favor the both Black Moslem countries and Arab countries (from Morocco to Egypt).
With John F*king Kerry as Secretary of State (he’s worse than Madelaine Halfbright and Hitlery Clinton, which is saying something), you can be assured that Jews and Christians in Africa and the Middle East will be abandoned to the Islamic fanatics in the near future.
You have to remember, Kerry in December in Cambodia! Another lie, another attack on our ally, So. Vietnam, and his abandonment of the fight for freedom against our enemies.
No, there is no hypocrisy involved here. Both stances — the condemnation of Russia’s law against homosexual propaganda and silence about the imposition of Sharia penalties (death) or Sharia-lite penalties (severe flogging) for homosexual behavior — are expressions of the left’s only abiding principle: hated of the Gospel.
Muslims, because they are anti-Christian, are free, in the eyes of the left, to do anything, no matter how barbaric, without criticism. Christians merely seeking to carve out a small space in civil society in which their own moral precepts reign supreme — for instance not having to provide services which support the public celebration of immorality (recent cases involving wedding photographers and bakers), or not having to pay for or approve of others paying for contraceptives (Little Sisters of the Poor) or for abortifacient drugs (Hobby Lobby) — are condemned as vicious bigots.
Russia’s law defends Orthodox Christian moral standards, and thus is condemned by the left. Sharia law’s moral standards are anti-Christian, and thus are coddled, if not actually “celebrated” by the left.

Thanks for the correction. It has been a long time since I’ve seen the tribes names all together. My Anthropology professor in the 1960’s lived with them, and a friend of mine in grad school was a minister in the Biafran government..
The news reports from Nigeria usually don’t identify the tribes who are involved in violence, as either the perpetrator or the victim. They describe it as generally a Muslim versus Christian affair, though it definitely has historical rivalry overtones.
A real tragedy for the people of Nigeria, who, in the words of Marlin Brando, “I (they) could have been a contender” for the most democratic and organized country in Africa.
Today Nigeria is a real potential outpost into the heart of Africa for Al Qaeda-linked groups (from Mali and Niger, among other countries nearby).
