Your point is well taken. Still, nuke missiles don’t require advanced air craft carriers or large battleships to launch. (And the Iranians have been building longer and longer range missiles these last five years anyway).

Ironic. I live close to the coast, on an island. I’ve wondered what would happen if say some wacko group of fanatics approached the coast in a large suicide mission, landed, and move ashore here. While some of us have some degree of firepower, we don’t have the ability to withstand a paramilitary assault. Could we count on the central government to repel these invaders? With this joker in charge, I would not wait for it to happen. By the time he decided to do something, they would be approaching Alabama.
Which brings this joke to mind. The inventory manager at Walmart noted there were no available ammo supplies in all the stores in Alabama. He called his state distribution manager and asked why there was no ammo in Alabama. The distribution manager said, have you not heard, the Ruskies took Georgia but they are damn well not going to take Alabama without a strong fight.
