Thanks for supporting a traitor. Snowden could have followed whistleblowing laws. He didn't. He could have walked into Senator Paul's office. He didn't.

He ran to China and then Russian with intel. The only question is why you and that second rate onaninzing retard Swann hate Obama enough to support treason.

If you two want to see the face of treason, look in the mirror.
"[E]very act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid."
Alexander Hamiltion

To defend a traitor running to China and Russia with classified data, instead of using proper channels and going to Rand Paul, you first use the Tu qoque fallacy and then quote Hamilton.

Are you certain that I didn't hack your account to set up a strawman to mock your position? Because this is Hamilton too. "The circumstances that endanger the safety of nations are infinite, and for this reason no constitutional shackles can wisely be imposed on the power to which the care of it is committed." --Alexander Hamilton

Snowden had to made some tradeoffs with his releases. He could err on the side of aiding the enemy and save his sorry butt or he could expose as little as possible to make his point. Since you do not seem to be aware of which side he chose, let me spell it out: Snowden is the enemy.

Your Hamilton quote from Federalist, no. 23 was discussing the building and running of armies and navies for the purpose of the "common defense", or defense against external enemies.

He wasn't suggesting the US government wage war, cold or hot, against the citizens of the USA.

Alexander Hamilton, Federalist, no. 23, 146--51 18 Dec. 1787
...
The authorities essential to the care of the common defence are these--to raise armies--to build and equip fleets--to prescribe rules for the government of both--to direct their operations--to provide for their support. These powers ought to exist without limitation: Because it is impossible to foresee or define the extent and variety of national exigencies, or the correspondent extent & variety of the means which may be necessary to satisfy them. The circumstances that endanger the safety of nations are infinite; and for this reason no constitutional shackles can wisely be imposed on the power to which the care of it is committed. This power ought to be co-extensive with all the possible combinations of such circumstances; and ought to be under the direction of the same councils, which are appointed to preside over the common defence.

You don’t spell very well. Snowden may be the enemy to traitors within the government; jackboot lickers like yourself, but he is not the enemy of the American people.

You don’t read very well, specifically the British media that have listed all the stuff he released. It goes way beyond spying on Americans.

It goes beyond spying on Americans? Do you really think that makes the government actions ok, or Snowden a traitor? The traitors are the people that ordered a government agency to knowingly abrogate constitutional protections. I'll support a trail for Snowden the day after all the people in government are tried.

What’s even more sad is all those in office who have enough dirt in their lives that they can BE blackmailed.

It pisses me off that W appointed Roberts when he HAD to know the dirt his opponents could get. They had the dirt on him way before his nomination was approved. But they saved it for when they needed it.

And we KNOW boner and McCain have enough skeletons to fill a warehouse. Or maybe even a whorehouse.

I googled for snowden and british and ended up here: http://www.theguardian.com/world/edward-snowden with a large list of links to their stories. Reading through some it was quite clear that he released documents that would only be relevant to some countries or certain types of spying that would only be used abroad, etc.

I got to see his interviews. Unless he is the world's best actor, I see his motivations as relatively pure. He even states how -- had he wanted only to harm the US -- how he could have done so, and didn't.

I am now 100% on his side.

I don’t watch much video due to limited BW so I haven’t watched the interviews. My take comes from the news articles. I can easily see him as being honest and not just acting genuine. However that doesn’t mean he has a clue. It is conceivable that he didn’t realize the extent of the information he gave away (thought it was just related to spying on Americans). Remember that he was a technician, not a intelligence analyst.

The assumption is that whistle blowing laws can protect the whistle blower. Maybe Snowden did not feel safe. I know I would not. Maybe he did go to Rand Paul, and he was told that they could not help him because he was breaking the law. Maybe they threw him under the bus and he panicked and went to the Russians. Which whistle blower do you know of who was treated well by going through channels? We simply do not know what happened.
