Where we stand
SECURE OUR BORDERS
The federal government has no greater responsibility than to protect and defend the homeland, and that begins with a safe, secure and strong border. Unfortunately, for far too long, our government has failed in meeting this critical goal. The status quo is completely unacceptable, particularly in the post-9/11 world we live in today. We must secure the border and that begins with implementing more strategic fencing, more boots on the ground with increased support for law enforcement and strengthening the use of technology up-and-down our borders. Put simply, securing the border must be >>>> a <<<< top priority in any reform effort. (Emphasis mine - should be THE)
END DE FACTO AMNESTY
Right now we have a system of de facto amnesty in this country. Under our current broken immigration system, millions who immigrated here illegally stand in the shadows but still enjoy many of the benefits of living in the United States. This not only presents serious obstacles to law enforcement but its unfair to the millions of law-abiding individuals who have come to this country legally. We need to fix our broken system and mandate that those who are living in this country illegally go to the back of the line, learn English, pay a fine and undergo a thorough background check to ensure that they have not broken our laws. By putting in place these rigorous requirements, and also mandating that those here illegally do not have access to welfare and other government benefits, we will end de facto amnesty once and for all and uphold the rule of law. [THE USUAL SCHTICK FOR AMNESTY]
EMPLOYEE VERIFICATION
Every employer should be required to use a basic e-verify system which identifies the bad actors that want to game the system, while helping thousands of workers who are unemployed today. E-Verify and other work-site enforcement activities will help our economy by opening up jobs, increasing wages and reducing job competition by reducing an illegal workforce.
Helping the American Economy
Creating new jobs for Americans and ensuring Americas economic preeminence in an increasingly competitive global economy are two vital efforts. Immigration reform has the ability to accomplish both of these goals. Under our current, broken immigration system, we too often see foreign students forced to leave the United States after being educated in the best American universities. Instead of using their education to create innovative companies and grow new jobs here at home, they are doing this overseas. Immigration reform ensures that the best global talent and future entrepreneurs and job creators are able to stay in this country.
Our Mission
Our country has a broken immigration system and a broken border, both of which present huge obstacles to the businesses, job creators, and legal immigrants who have played by the rules and will help continue to grow our economy. Its well past time for Congress to get to work on real solutions to secure our border, hold those who have broken our laws accountable, and improve our legal immigration system to meet our countrys needs and boost Americas competitiveness in a global economy.

Wrong! That's just a democrat talking point, ie, a lie. The system is not broken. It's not ENFORCED!!
Enforce the law!! Secure the borders!!
Recall in 2006 the amnesty Republicans called the status quo ‘shamnesty’ to pitch amnesty.
I like the way he makes it sound like illegals are having a ball without amnesty, and that amnesty would be punishing them.
Except the Senate amnesty bill not only legalizes them but still gives them :
1) EITC and 2) anti-poverty programs for their dependents. Dems insisted on those and Rubio just lied about it.
It is worse then that. Facebook's Zuckerberg is financing this front group. One can many things about him but a friend of conservatism is not one of them. The faces fronting this group as modern day political Judas's betraying us for Zuckerberg's pieces of silver.
I think they’re also Mark Zuckerberg related/affiliated. Conservative my foot!
Here’s more about them...

Id like to introduce you to Americans for a Conservative Direction. Its got Haley Barbour as the head of it, whose nephew was on the RNC audit committee. Hes joined by Sally Bradshaw of the same RNC Audit Committee. Theyve also got Joel Kaplan of Facebook, Dan Senor whose wife is Campbell Brown formerly of CNN, and Rob Jesmer.
Jesmer, you will recall, headed the National Republican Senatorial Committee and backed Arlen Specter, Charlie Crist, Trey Greyson, Bob Bennett, and every other terrible squishy moderate to liberal candidate the GOP could field.
It must be wide spread.
The guy in charge of this front group Rob Jesmer is a John Cornyn crony!

Invaders have to be sent home. Everify for all jobs. Fines and criminal records for those who abet invaders. No talk of “amnesty”....it’s against everything the US stands for to tolerate a class of people who are here illegally and are accepted as the new slaves....permanent non-citizens to provide cheap labor for globalist pimps.

I heard an ad a while ago and wondered who the hell it was.... Eye opening post!
Who was that Republican that was a big supporter of K street?
Hmm?
Was it Tom DeLay perhaps?
It’s still playing on the radio.
