Schultz I’d agree with, nut I think Beckel is sincere in his claims of being a recovering alcoholic.
I do not think Bob Beckel is drunk when he appears on tv. I think it is more likely his years of alcohol abuse have caused permanent brain damage...

Yah right. Every time I read a SCOTUS decision, every time I read news about what’s going on and not going in in Congress, every damn word out of Obama’s mouth, I’m lunging for the bottle.
When Nancy Pelosi was getting her gubamint USAF jets fueled up, she was making sure she had plenty loaded aboard as well.. And I ain’ t referring to jet fuel!
Well, there are some totally non-drinking conservatives out there, but most of the fun conservatives I know drink enough to make up for them.
Actually, I’d say that alcohol consumption being all the same (based on alcohol, not on the particular drink), the leftist areas probably drink more because union members are big beer drinkers. Most of my leftist friends and family members are “working class” union member beer drinkers or well-off intellectuals who want to feign being “working class.” So it’s not the white wine but the beer that is cranking it up.
In any case, I’m not doing Thanksgiving at my house anymore or even inviting them because it’s too ugly. They may drink because they think they want to relax, but they don’t know when to just hang back and have a good time. With leftists, it’s all politics all the time.
