I wish people would quit using “Asians” as a homogeneous group. The Vietnamese around here are mostly gunowners and many express dismay that the country is starting to look like it is becoming what they ran away from, especially the ones who have immigrated since 2000 when the extreme transition phase of the Communist takeover back home had settled down into a standard Communist ruled society. I know of a couple of their children born here who have gone to Viet Nam and started businesses there. They say the unofficial requirement for baksheesh is less onerous than the official corruption here that manifests in the forest of rules and taxes and fees that must be threaded.

I have read that within the Asian category. That NE Asians here voted for Romney. This means Americans of Chinese, Korean and Japanese heritage, Vietnamese would fit in this category due to their anti-communist orientation from fleeing communism
