The local guys on the am talk station I listen to most of the day bash the living crap out of the kenyan each and every day and hold little back. They refer to him and democrats in very disparaging terms and make no bones about believing he is a racist, socialist would-be dictator with an agenda to destroy the Constitution and why they believe that. They also appropriately disparage the RINOs and other so-called republicans.
All around, much better listening than Laura Ingraham or Hannity who used to be on and they have Rush in between.
Hannity has always seemed to be an ass kisser who wants to be liked and wants to feel important. Nothing very tough about him.
Also the local guy on my home station as well.
I agree on his wanting to be liked. I think Hannity still marvels at how he, a onetime construction worker from Long Island, has become a media star. Perhaps he’s afraid of losing his status and the accompanying perks if he becomes too hard-edged for the conservative insiders’ club.
Philosophically he’s one of us (though the jury’s out on immigration). And I think he’s a genuinely nice guy. Plus, as oldenuff2no wrote, he’s certainly a success. For me, that disqualifies him for a dunce cap. If nothing else he’s entry-level conservatism for millions of potential allies in low info precincts.
I think what irritates most of us about Hannity and others pitching for our bullpen is their collegiality with progs. If lefty pinheads get their way, America, as a force for human good, disappears. An arsonist may be convinced he’s the catalyst for urban renewal. But good intentions are not a basis for respect.
Regarding Rove: When your guy is facing two stiffs like Gore and Kerry and barely ekes out wins, I don’t see what there is to brag about.
don’t listen to Hannity-—can no longer
tolerate Laura Ingraham...
what happened to her? (or did I just
wake up?) Too much “me, me, me”;
“what I said, know, predicted”.
plenty of time to talk about herself,
kids, “cool” people she knows, spent
time with...short shrift to the callers...
I turn the radio channel!
