President to Seek to Use State of the Union Address to Shift Souring View of Leadership

President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday night will seek to shift the public's souring view of his leadership, a challenge the White House sees as critical to shaping the nation's policy direction over the next three years.

Mr. Obama will emphasize his intention to use unilateral presidential authority—bypassing Congress when necessary—to an extent not seen in his previous State of the Union speeches, White House officials said.

"We need to show the American people that we can get something done," Dan Pfeiffer, a senior White House adviser, told CNN as part of a round of interviews previewing the speech.

So, what Obama is saying if we haven't been able to accomplish anything through constitutionally legitimate means, then it will have to be by hook or crook.

Polls show the president's lethargic record of accomplishments in 2013 raised doubts among Americans that he is capable of tackling the country's problems......

"Record of accomplishments" and "Obama" grates the psyche and generates the sort of cognitive dissonance that melts the brain.

And that's what bothers his patently vainglorious ego. So, he's going to assert a unilteral agenda, which sounds awfully un-American.

Heck, as far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act :

OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have your choice of doctor.”

Repeated over and over ---- with the promise that every American family would be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

LOCK-STEPPING PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1940's ERA EUROPE Obama And The Dumbos marched in lockstep. The persistent Dumbocrat drumbeat ---- in obeisance to Obama ---- kept ringing reassuringly in our ears: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan."

When he looks in their direction and says he doesn’t need them, they should get up and walk out. Every camera in DC would follow them and Obama’s speech would be cut short. Then when they get in front of the cameras they should say “The president has obviously forgotten that he is not a dictator and can not do anything without the house. This time the government will be shut down. Not by the republicans. But by the dictator himself. We have nothing else to say until Mr. Obama admits he’s the president of a representative republic.” Then walk away.
