Arizona GOP Censures McCain for 'Liberal' Record
AP via CBS news ^ | Jan 25, 2014 | Terry Tang

The Arizona Republican Party formally censured Sen. John McCain on Saturday, citing a voting record they say is insufficiently conservative.

The resolution to censure McCain was approved by a voice-vote during a meeting of state committee members in Tempe, state party spokesman Tim Sifert said. It needed signatures from at least 20 percent of state committee members to reach the floor for debate.

Sifert said no further action was expected.

McCain spokesman Brian Rogers declined to comment on the censure.

Story being remarked upon in the Arizona Forum. Couldn't get the Party to put the item on the docket, but the authors of the censure got 20% of the floor of the annual Party meeting to agree to vote on it, and it passed. This is actually a major slap in the face to the arrogant one.

Will he change his ways? No. Will it be a wake-up call to his new mini-me Jeff Flake? Maybe.

The story is AP, so the standard bias is applied....

FYI -

McCain’s lapdog, Linda Graham, is also piling up censure votes from county Republican parties in South Carolina.

Let’s censure these two democrat handmaidens straight out of the party.

At least something is finally done to the man who did so much to destroy America. McCain practically got Obama elected during their presidential fight.

I remember that just prior to the 9-11-2001 terrorist attacks, that there was a movement underway to Recall McCain. Obviously, the effort went up in smoke with the attacks. I wonder why that effort can’t be brought into play, now.

Anybody from Arizona care to comment on this?

Federal officeholders — senators and congressmen — cannot be recalled. This has been litigated both in federal court (Idaho, 1967) and state court (New Jersey, 2013). You have to beat him in an election to remove him or wait for him to die.

“There have been a couple of separate Censure votes in SC against Grahamnesty.”

Indeed, Howie66. Linda appeared on radio station WORD in Greenville, SC, this week and confirmed that he’s an elitist jerk who cares nothing for the good people of South Carolina. He refused to answer questions, tried to present himself as a prosecutor against Obuma in the Benghazi scandal and just made a complete leftist, drooling ass of himself.

Linda is going down in the upcoming primary.

Mrs. SubMareener says the when they do something you like, send them $5 and let them know why. It is a classical behavioral conditioning approach.

Depends. IF you are talking about the General, what choice did we have? If you are talking about the Primary, turn around and I’ll supply the kick.

(In a very friendly and loving manner, I assure you. :^)

Flake is worse. He taunts his constituents about ramming amnesty down their throats before they get to him in 2018.

If amnesty is stopped until 2016 McCain may make a few token votes against it. I dont know if enough Dems will crossover for his warmongering as it has become more tone deaf.

If one of the statewide office holders in Arizona from 2014 challenges him it may be a better chance to defeat him.

Nobody will ever defeat McQueeg. He’s Senator for life. He’ll leave that office feet first, like his old best buddy Teddy. He has too much Rat support, and too many Pubbies still think of him as a war “hero.”

Flake is a different story, he doesn’t have the war “hero” cover, and if he fails to remember that he will be tossed out.
