My family got there to shop at Macy’s. On the way there at least 20 cop cars went by. Got to the mall and a woman told us there was a shooting. Shooting took place on the opposite side of the mall by the food court.
I go there all the time. I live 20 minutes away. The clientele is almost exclusively middle and upper-middle class, reflective of Howard County. It can happen anywhere.
Doubtful.Perhaps hundreds,even thousands,shopped peacefully in Columbia,MD yesterday but probably not 28 million.Another stat that could be mentioned in connection with the three dead in Columbia is that today upwards of 500 people will slip and fall in the shower and die an hour later as the result of major head trauma.But not a word in the AP or on MSLSD about *that* slaughter.

Amen. I know some may laugh that I want a “welfare check” on our Maryland freepers but that’s how I am. My kids say I like to worry even if I don’t have anything to worry about.
Yeah, we got there about 15 minutes after it happened. I kept everyone waiting so I could take a shower before we left.
...had a neighbor pass away that way a few weeks ago. In minor traffic accident, hit his head, didn't think anything of it. Came home feel asleep, never woke up. Age 50 or so.

At the very least, mall shopkeepers should be armed. This should have happened around 2001. We’re living on borrowed time.
Off topic: do you guys speak with a Southern accent? I’m amazed at the mix of Southern and Northern accents I’m hearing!
local news says 3rd body is shooter, self inflicted.

It is unusual for a conservative, let alone a Freeper, to want a welfare check! I’m encouraged to learn that there are other Freepers in Maryland!
We’re in Odenton and frequent this mall. I thought carrying and firing a weapon in a mall is illegal? Weird.
I don’t think I do nor my family. I know that people from the Midwest have said we speak with a slight accent but nothing like say from further south. There is a definite Baltimore accent spoken by many locals.
News Channel 8 said 7 or 10 shots fired. Police, rescue and fire from many jurisdictions including Howard Co., Anne Arundel Co. and ATF are there. Three confirmed dead, two additional injured.
It is. So is murder. A fat lot of good those laws did preventing this!

Didn’t the commie ‘RATS say that Maryland has some of the “toughest” gun laws in the nation? How’s that workin’ out?
