Several people have been injured after a shooting at the Columbia Mall.
The exact number of injured people or extent of their injuries isn’t known.

Columbia was built to be the utopian bedroom community where all colors, creeds and incomes would live side by side. Now, some 40 years later, reality has intruded. Neighborhoods (”villages” as they’re known) have segregated themselves. There are some very nice areas and some you don’t want to be near even in daylight.
I pretty much knew about the state-—but I did wonder about shopping malls.

Three people confirmed dead at Columbia Mall. Victims unknown at this time.
One deceased subject located near gun and ammunition. ID unknown.
Call came into 911 around 11:15 a.m. that shots were fired. Police made entry and found three dead, one found near a gun and ammunition.
No recent reports of any additional shots heard.

Sounds like a murder-suicide. Which suggests a personal matter rather than some mass shooting event.

I generally try to stay out of MD so I’m not sure if shopping malls tend to be specifically posted or not, but the point is moot. The discretionary concealed handgun license in MD is off limits to anyone not politically connected, and they have no reciprocity with any other state. So posted or not, the mall is a free-fire zone for the criminal class.
Hardly a day passes in the last couple of weeks but what some loonie finds a target rich gun-free environment and starts shooting the place up.

Most of the people I know who live in Maryland are making plans to leave. And that even includes some liberals (one of which has already left and moved south to another state). That’s the truth.
A news reader was on the phone with a store owner at the mall who related that he was told by a witness that the shooter was on the second level firing down into the food court with a shotgun and that the shooter is one of the three people reported dead, some saying by their own hand.
I pretty much try to stay out of MD, which isn’t all that hard because I live in Texas.
However, we did drive to Washington DC not long ago, and that made it harder.
Let’s just say I got around the law pretty well.
Nobody ever got shot shopping on Amazon™.
