“California wins.”

Right. They want to reduce the availability of handguns in the state and getting major manufacturers to stop sales in CA is one way to do it.

I hope they also refuse to sell to any CA law enforcement agencies as well...

If they don't refuse CA law enforcement, then any announcement like this is worthless.

I google searched and S&W has a direct contract to provide pistols to the LA Sherriff’s Department which started in 2013. I don’t know the extent of their dealings with California law enforcement but the precedent is there.

I like the part about combing thru the police range. Or, you can buy lots of 50, 100, 500 etc. used brass in nearly any caliber.

1911 firing pins are regularly priced at $9 on mainstream sites, and files that can smooth the microstamped end of a firing pin (without affecting performance and without replacement) are about $1. This is purely an exercise in raising prices so that only the rich can afford to defend themselves.
