Well, the Republicans will be right on top of defunding the DOJ... you know... right after they defund 0bamacare.

Right.

We’ve clearly got a better chance of seeing God.

Don’t forget the converse either. The largest military organization in the world tried to pacify America once before and it didn’t work out too well for them.

Very true - the thing that's concerning about a reiteration of that scenario is that the attendant revolution would likely mirror the French Revolution rather than the American.

If Jesus said it, and His words are trustworthy, then absolutely:
Matthew 5:8 - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

all anti-gun crap aside, it is an interesting question, from a layman’s legal sense at least. Minors can’t purchase alcohol, for example, and it’s also illegal for adults to purchase and give booze to minors. An imperfect analogy, but that’s why I think it’s interesting.

Should you be able to buy a bottle of wine or beer and give it to another family member of friend who is over 21? Are you required to ask for ID first? Can you only do this between the hours of 8am-2am m-sat and 12noon-12mid on Sunday?

Every time I see comments like yours, the thought runs through my head that your statement is correct... But only if it is actually put to that unspoken use.

Otherwise, it’s just an empty threat that can be safely ignored.

Judging from the lack of dead corrupt politicians, I think our threats are ringing pretty hollow...

We aren’t what we once were.

If we were even half that, we’d already have taken to the field to redress this.

>> “It’s only “beyond hope” when everyone gives up.” <<

.
Wrong answer.

Its beyond hope because America has lost contact with Yehova.

There is not time remaining for the kind of change that would be required. Think Sodom and Gomorrah. We are there in every way at this moment. Sexual sin is praised and adored, and even mimicked by those too young to even understand.

Even our TEA Party friends are out on a limb embracing the things that are destroying us.

The beginning of Paul’s “falling away” is upon us in full force. Time to start looking for a fool in Jerusalem standing on the Ark of the Covenant.

This is true; but the founders knew it well:

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Judging from the lack of dead corrupt politicians, I think our threats are ringing pretty hollow...

Nobody wants to be the guy to rock the boat; nobody wants to be the guy that was just a crazy loon; and those in power take advantage of it. Those in power know what Yuri Bezmenov talked about and want the opposition demoralized and normalized so that it is impossible to resist them.

It is always in people's nature to put up with bearable evils rather than "take to the field". If the British hadn't been so ham fisted as to perpetuate the "shot heard 'round the world" we might still be tea drinkers with bad teeth.

It is also in nature of the tyrannical to over reach. It is only a matter of time before history repeats itself.

Well, I guess it's time to quit talking and get back to what we once were. Peacefully I hope, but the longer we dither, read egg-headed books from egg-headed blowhards, and try to play political chess, the more likely it's going to get ugly. Action...NOW!

No matter who “goes first”, that will be the gauntlet they run. It won’t matter who righteous the cause or how right the action... We aren’t fighting a virtuous or principles enemy here.

And yet we keep treating them as such. As if they’ll play by the rules.

They won’t. They aren’t. And we shouldn’t either.

"Wrong answer."

No, right answer.

Part of giving up is losing touch with, and the fear of God. Yes, we need a massive spiritual awakening in this nation, which likely won't ever happen. But those of us who refuse to give up on God, and on the Constitution, will receive our reward, either here on Earth or in Heaven.

Anyone who has given up on God and/or the USA might as well go ahead and start sewing his white surrender flag, and figuring out which tent he wants in his FEMA camp.

Doesn’t get much more “ham fisted” than the Waco debacle, and yet... Here we sit.

Everyone seems to be waiting for some big spark... Even as we act as our own wet blanket.

There is no “peaceful” way back from where we are. Half our population is beholden to the governments largesse. Either via paycheck or welfare.

You aren’t changing that at the ballot box.

Uhm...I have no idea why you would think that. We aren’t the french and we would be fighting against socialism not for it.

The hallmark of the French Revolution was the Terror, wherein the nobility (and their families and their associates) were savagely put to death; IIRC often w/o any legal justification or forms (i.e. trials or defenses).

“Terror is nothing else than justice, prompt, severe, inflexible.”
“The government in a revolution is the despotism of liberty against tyranny.”
— Maximilien Robespierre

If/when we revolt against our ruling caste, it will be hard to reign in emotions and ensure that they are given the proper trials; there is more than ample evidence against them.

Oh, just because you play by the rules doesn't mean you can't use dirty, dirty tricks.
