Where was Tom Brokaw?

Posted on 01/22/2014 11:01:15 AM PST by HalTa

I know this is a few months old, but it's something that has been puzzling me.

Where was Tom Brokaw when the "Greatest Generation" was being publicly disrespected and humiliated at the World War 2 memorial? All they wanted to do was visit this open air monument, {many in wheelchairs} that was dedicated to them.

IN my mind, Brokaw should have been there, leading the charge to remove the barriers.

I guess he had to make the choice, Greatest Generation or Obama. He chose Obama.

Good point! Now that he’s cashed in, he’s through with them.

I wasn’t there, either. Did I choose Obama?

Really? I was wondering where people get off by whining that someone else wasn’t someplace.

As a Mr Brokaw’s personal secretary and event scheduler you have a full right to complain!

Mr Brokaw revived his career with his “admiration” for the Greatest Generation.
The least he could have done was show his disgust for the total disrespect
shown to the surviving warriors.

I think the question was rhetorical. The writer did not actually expect Mr. Brokaw to be physically at the monuments with the WWII veterans. But he COULD have spoken in support of them. In the past Tom Brokaw has never been shy about taking the microphone in hand for one of his causes.

There is a McDonald’s right at the center of town. Has free Wee-Fee. I was passing it yesterday afternoon, looked inside, and I saw this guy I know old McDonald sitting inside McDonald’s. He waved.
