What do you mean by the Savage of old?
I have to admit that the train thing at the end of each hour strikes me as a bit hokey and I wish he would get rid of it.
There is another FR thread about the Children’s Hospital dirty colonoscopy equipment and a spirited discussion about the pros and cons of routine colonoscopies. But so far I think I’m the only one to to about Lynne Slaeker, the family bed therapist. I did a bit of research on family bed, sometimes called co-sleeping, and nowhere did I see it recommended for kids as old as 15! I don’t know any of these people personally, but it does seem like a curious case to put it mildly.

I’ll be in Seattle tonight and will miss most or all of it. I also have to be up early tomorrow and may not want to stay up til midnight, esp. for a substandard third hour like last nights.
Interesting how KVI does the Hannity broadcast live but Savage is 9 hours later. Can’t they find a more convenient slot?
I’m not sure what their reasoning is, except that Savage used to be in the evenings before the change, and Hannity was on the other station.
I’ve never trusted KVI since they did a total format change, dumping talk radio, a few years back, then after a year or so of that, went back to conservative talk and expected listeners to come back as if nothing happened. Of course most if us did. Radio is an extremely fickle business, as I always say.
They might think that Savage us good to go up against Coast to Coast on KIRO FM, and he kind of is. I get confused which of them are Fisher stations. A lot of stations in this market are owned by Fisher, I think.
Hannity is a brain dead bore....a republican water-carrier...and Savage is acting like an idiot hollywood mudslinger...venting all this shit against a nonentity like Hannity when he should be concentrating all his venom on the leftist menace that we’re beseiged with. I’m sure that the detestable media rags like “Politico” with gleefully make the most of this. Savage should be as serious and focused on the totalitarian evil forces facing us like Mark Levin,...another arch-enemy of his.
I agree with most of what you say, which is why I have entertained a conspiracy theory regarding Savages being made a central player in these radio changes. I have never known for sure what to make if Savage. Is he a fraud, genius, madman, bit of all three? But I’m sure that many on the left might view him as a useful tool to help divide the right. Is a useful idiot still a useful idiot if s/he is complicit?
I stopped listening to Hannity for the most part after seeing one if his TV shows a few years ago when he was in the Central Valley doing a show about the water crisis, very poorly, I thought. And there have been other things. Mostly, like you say, he’s boring, with the same old LetNot Your Heart Be Troubled groupies and FOX personalities. If we had let ourhearts get more troubled, maybe we could have prevented Obama getting elected.
Savage was more of a firebrand and he didn’t attack his contemporaries as much as he does now. It’s not a veiled comment here and there, he just unleashes on them at every opportunity. If I wanted to listen to whiners attack talk radio and Fox news, I’d switch over to whatever remains of leftwing talk.
