White House reportedly delays ObamaCare equal coverage provision

The Obama administration is reportedly delaying enforcement of another aspect of ObamaCare, one that prohibits employers from providing better health benefits to top executives than those being offered to regular employees.

According to The New York Times, tax officials said they would not enforce the provision in 2014 as they had not yet issued the appropriate regulations.

The Affordable Care Act, commonly known as ObamaCare, says employer-sponsored health plans must not discriminate “in favor of highly compensated individuals” with respect to either eligibility or benefits, and provides a tax break for employer-sponsored insurance, while demanding employers not provide better coverage to higher-paid employees.

Yet Bruce I. Friedland, a spokesman for the I.R.S., told the New York Times that employers would not have to comply until the agency issued regulations or other guidance.

It appears equality is only for the peasants. The “owners” of the peasants such as the top bosses plus Hussein’s labor leaders and his other buddies, get the cream and all the peasants get skimmed milk.

Why does anyone think the chamber of commerce is now not fighting the law (they were not anyway but now they say so).

gee, lets all act like the White House pick and choose what law applies to each of us on a daily basis. Chaos is the answer on his part. Sounds more like a despot whom operates on a whim. Is Odumbo going to feed his uncle to 120 hungry dogs. This president is NUTS.

Managers and Executive level government employees always get sweeter benefits packages....much better than union employees...and Obama and his minions are definitely the former

Actually...Communists gave better benefits to the higher ups than the lower level citizens. The bosses got the better medical care, western booze, western goods, cars, dacha on the Black Sea, and other things

North Korea is the present day example

And, it is more likely government than private industry to give better medical and overall benefits to its higher level staff.

The Communists created their own “class system”

What you have here now is a complete picture of the future of the US....One political ideology (liberalism) in partnership with business. So if you are not an “elected” official nor a CEO nor a senior government bureaucrat, you are now officially a serf.

The MSM stated that ObamaCare is the law of the land guess they didn’t read the fuzzy fine print?.
Obama laws are not for those in the loop.

sure they can.. maybe not legally but what can we do about it?

In order to sue you have to have standing, and like in the prop 8 case if you can’t show harm then you have no standing. Is some employer going to sue the Feds for not enforcing a provision that actually ties their hands? A court is going to throw it out based on standing because they are helped by the delay not harmed.

Go to the California Prop 8 case. They basically said that nobody in California has the right to sue because they couldn’t show they were harmed.
