Ten Million Man March
Operation American Spring ^ | 2014 | Steve Newton

Posted on 01/18/2014 8:41:26 PM PST by Steve Newton

Ok.

Jim has proposed a protest in Washington. I suggest that we joined forces with Operation American Spring on the 16 of May.

This is contingent on Jim Rob agreeing with the date and principles of the protect by Operation American Spring.

"calling for a Congressional coup."

I don't trust this guy, but where did you read about a "coup"? All I saw was another website calling for Constitutional Emergency. Must have missed the coup part, which of course I would not be part of.

Well I for one applaud the sentiment and the effort and truth be told do not care for the defeatist attitudes of some. Granted, I would never profess to be as savvy or seasoned as some of them, I do know that it is later in the game than some think and what they continue to propose doing obviously no longer works.

If you go, I will join. And get as many as I can to come along.

But I am thinking it is beyond even that. I think we should just close DC down. And wait.

What you've been suggesting is tantamount to INSURRECTION against a democratically elected (if Ohio and PA wasn't in fact stolen) government.

I'll have no part of it. Elections have consequences, even when they render an outcome adverse to Conservative interests.

Sorry, guy. My heart is with you, but not my mind.

I agree we need to march, DC is not practical for anyone who lives pretty far away.
No where to stay, no reasonable place and the unreasonable places are few.
I can't afford to go.
I am sure I am not alone. Sending email and snail mail is fruitless.
Hopefully the November voting will do the trick.

Whatever you do, don’t call it a “Ten Million Man March.” Unless, of course, you have ten million people signed up.

You open yourself up to ridicule if you call yourself that and a few thousand show up.

The idea is good...although all energy first should be directed at the GOP-E.

We will never remove liberals and liberal policies until the GOP is cleaned out first. To think that there is any difference in the main parties is foolish

A better move would be to go after the money boys of the GOP...like Chamber of Commerce, Business Roundtable, and others who9 support ObamaCare, Illegal Alien Amnesty, Government subsidy of business, and others. Boycott businesses who are members of these....do not vote for candidates who receive bribes from them. In short time you have a lot of folks on the run.

Doing this while doing a Ten Million Man March would be very productive.

May I humbly suggest an alternate concept.

Would this be a time to hold a freeper get-together in a close-by location?

We don’t officially endorse their gathering, we just happen to pick the same time.

all these gathering might be cathartic, but they will change nothing unless there are political or economic consequences. If the march shuts down the city for a few days, if the march barricades the house and senate buildings, if the march somehow brings the business in DC to a standstill, they will accomplish something but short of that, they don’t care what we say or do because it doesn’t effect them.

The time for talk is coming to an end.

-——DC pays little attention to such rallies-——

There was a rally in 2010 to protect the Viet Nam Memorial from the lefties. I was flabbergasted at the number of folks thad showed up in the blustry cold weather. There were so many, I could not hook up with FReepers known to be there.

In retrospect, the IRS attacked the Tea Parties.

The gathering panicked the President to pull out all the stops to destroy his opposition

I was reading until I saw November election. I think anyone who things any election will fix the country is seriously deluded. It’s also dangerous thinking. People won’t stand up and do what needs to be done.

The GOP Convention in Connecticut is May 16 to May 17
that is a better destination for me ...

here are some other detinations that are better than the Million Man Revolution:

MAY 6, 2014:
Indiana - Primary Election
North Carolina - Primary Election
Ohio - Primary Election

MAY 13, 2014:
Nebraska - Primary Election
West Virginia - Primary Election

MAY 20, 2014:
Arkansas - Primary Election
Georgia - Primary Election
Idaho - Primary Election
Kentucky - Primary Election
Oregon - Primary Election
Pennsylvania - Primary Election

MAY 27, 2014:
Texas - Primary Run-Off Election

Have you seen the thread from Jim?

And believe me I am not late to the game.

As I have said through out this thread I am simply putting two people together. Jim and Col Riley.

And if you don’t know my back round, goggle it.

Great idea, but sorry to rain on your parade. We did the same thing back in 1998 as a Free Republic sponsored event and had all of maybe 4000 show up to impeach Bill Clinton. Some say we were influential for his impeachment, as the coordinator of the event, I believe not so much.

I disagree with you here ANV. While it is true that there were only 4000 that showed up, there was a follow-on event in early December which was the time of the impeachment proceedings on Capitol Hill. There were some linguine spined congresscritters that were beginning to waffle. 500 of us gathered on the Capital steps that day to do a backbone transplant.

It worked.
