A senior administration official tells POLITICO that President Barack Obama on Friday will announce the end of the National Security Agency’s telephone metadata program as it currently exists.

The official said Obama “will order a transition that will end the Section 215 telephone metadata program as it currently exists, and move to a program that preserves the needed capabilities without the government holding this data.”

We have to understand what is going on here. 0bummer has all the data he needs already; he exposed all the NSA secrets to the world, whereby weakening the US, and, badmouthing the NSA while doing the very things he says he’s against, then, and now, he’ll say he stopped it - looking like all along he has been against it. Did you follow that? More of Limbavgh theorem.

Good reason to change phones and phone numbers.

Of course, they might be lying, which the Federal government's true core competency.

AND more than HALF of America believes this CRAP coming out of his lying piehole on a daily basis. They deserve everything that is coming their way - I have yet to figure out how to get out of the path of the oncoming storm since I am a lifelong urban dweller.

Lips moving out comes lies

Agency’s telephone metadata program, calling for the trove of information on Americans’ telephone calls to be held in the private sector, senior administration officials told POLITICO

Translation it will allow any other Government agencies unwarranted access to your records at anytime, especially the Justice department and the IRS.

IAW with the Limbaugh theorem Obama can order the NSA to halt this program immediately but is punting this off to congress...he doesn't want to be seen as governing.

I gather his idea is that the NSA will still collect everybody’s information all the time, but once they collect it, it will be archived by a different federal agency. Which implies that since it is such a huge amount of data, a new federal agency will have to be created to do this.

Which by extension means, A Czar Is Born.

Translation: The NSA/Obama will continue to spy on conservatives but will stop spying on liberals.

Great. What about the existing records? You know, Obama, the ones you blackmailed Justice Edwards with? Gonna get rid of those?

He doesn’t want to stop the collection or storage of everyone’s private information. He only wants to change the location of where the information is stored.
Obama wants easier access to information he can use to control.
If he really was concerned with privacy he would be ordering all that data be destroyed for ordinary citizens.

[ The official said Obama “will order a transition that will end the Section 215 telephone metadata program as it currently exists, and move to a program that preserves the needed capabilities without the government holding this data.” ]

So reading into the BS speak....

They have a better program to replace the old program and the already planned decommissioning of the old program is being used as a smokescreen for the new program. The new program just being someone like google holding the data for them instead of it being housed on fed gov servers...

This is like saying we are moving the building of Fighter Jets from the Air Force to Lockheed Martin....

They are simply moving from having it under gov control and living on gov servers, they contracted out the storage and it is still under gov control....

“Yeh because he knows the judiciary is getting ready to slap him down.”

You’re kidding right? Jon Corzine is still breathing free air. Nobody is going to do anything to Obama. There’s not a full set of balls within 800 miles of DC right now.

Madison, Franklin, and Adams, if they came back around, would laugh their asses off, and then they’d kill them selves again. “Told you death was better than slavery!” would be the last thing Madison would say before courteously shooting Franklin and Adams in the head, and then whacking himself out.

Except that part of the program that funnels the info to the Democratic Party and the Justice Department.

“You’re kidding right?”

No I’m not kidding. We already have one Federal judge who in the past two weeks has ruled the NSA spying to be unconstitutional. Others will likely join him as the general public is getting pretty PO’D about it. So to try turn down the heat Bam is going to back off a little and hope things die down.

You’re talking about a guy who is literally ruling by edict at this point. SCOTUS just denied review of Obamacare on the basis of point-blank, black letter, unconstitutionality.

He’s not afraid of the judiciary in the slightest. Some STILL has to enforce the law once the judiciary has ruled, and that’s up to Holder.

He’s not backing off, ever. He’s going to turn it up. He doesn’t even care about his own Congress folks up for election this year. Why in the name of the Chicago Cubs would he think there was ANY reason at all to keep pushing.

He’s changed Obamacare at least three times without Congress lifting a finger. Nobody even said ‘boo’ to him.

This is what a Soviet style dictatorship looks like - single party rule, with a kabuki-style, ‘Washington Generals vs. Harlem Globtrotters’, token, faux-conservative opposition coupled with a police state and up-your-rectum-and-out-your-mouth surveillance of everyone, everywhere, and everything you do.

You don’t get freedoms back once you’ve lost them. Period. History has a 100 percent record on this point. It’s OVER. You can elect all the Republicans you want, and it isn’t going to make a dime’s worth of difference.

The ONLY thing the rest of the world is going to be mad about is that the biggest consumer market in the world is going to go the way of standing in line for light bulbs and toilet paper.

For each according to their ability, to each according to their needs - it’s here.

“Hey Doc, it’s your moral obligation to treat this man, even though we can’t pay you, so put your stethoscope on and get to work.”
