Professor Richard Lindzen has took himself out of the running for Deval Patrick’s global warming, I mean climate change Czar.
Hey, hey, what value does a lowly MIT professor when matched with the unmeasurable IQ of the mighty Algore?
And that big orangy ball that shows up about 6:00 every mornimg. That plus the Hot Air emanating from the District of Columbia do the most to make the climate change.
Lindzen is emeritus (retired). He was one of the founders of the science of climatology, and is, ever was, and has remained skeptical of catastrophic anthropogenic global warming. He has been completely consistent and intellectualy honest for as long as anyone knows. He thinks human contributions to global warming are tiny, and largely beneficial.
He is the “polar” opposite of Micheal Mann. Give him props.
Linden is not on their side.
Lindzen famously said that he thinks the people with these global warming theories are computer programmers, not climatologists. Climategate showed just how utterly wrong he was. They are definitely not computer programmers.
If the differences are small then it begs the question: how do the data and modeling errors affect the predictions. Errors exist. No way to get around them.
If the data and modeling errors are greater than what is required to accurately predict an increase in temperatures, then isn’t garbage in garbage out?
MA Governor Patrick last week pledged $52M in taxpayer money “to fight global warming in Massachusetts.” That tells you everything you need to know about Liberals.
The AGW people need discover the secret formula used by the Farmers Almanac which normally gets forecasts correct.

yes, to me that is exactly the point. Basically, the alarmists are completely correct with a margin of error of +/-100%
You can question the legacy data, how it was collected, how that changed over time, accuracy of instruments, etc.. Couple that with not being able to *test* a computer model in the real world, along with the fact that there’s *many* models out there that don’t agree (all of which aren’t predicting temps that are current) and what do you have?
Garbage. It is certainly not science.
And the true scientist should be pointing this out. I have yet to hear the proponents of AWG point this out. It certainly raise the question about their credibility if they don’t.
Not even code monkeys. Undisciplined, uncontrolled, unduplicateable, sloppy coding. No one really knows what is in the code, there are NO CLIMATE MODELS in the scientific sense, just big piles of spaghetti junkware.
Governor Patrick is a corrupt hack. The money is not fighting anything other than the itch for public money among well connected interest groups.
So true. Programmers know that computer models can be flawed even if the programming is perfect. The algorithm itself can be flawed, there may be a lack of data, there could be manipulated input and even the presentation can be misleading.
In global warming graphs, they often zoom in to show only a rise in temperature without showing the previous decline from previous warming periods. And of course they adjust the colors in warming maps to show a slightly warm areas as a burning red color. Easily digestible for news watchers but completely misleading.
