Senate report: Attack on U.S. compound in Benghazi could have been prevented
The Washington Post ^ | Adam Goldman and Anne Gearan

A long-delayed Senate intelligence committee report released on Wednesday spreads blame among the State Department and intelligence agencies for not preventing attacks on two outposts in Libya that killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.

The bipartisan report lays out more than a dozen findings regarding the assaults on Sept. 11 and 12, 2012 on the diplomatic compound and a CIA annex in the Libyan city of Benghazi. It says the State Department failed to increase security at the sites despite warnings, and faults intelligence agencies for not sharing information about the existence of the CIA outpost with the U.S. military.

The committee determined that the U.S. military command in Africa didn’t know about the CIA annex and didn’t have the resources to defend the diplomatic compound in an emergency.

“The attacks were preventable, based on extensive intelligence reporting on the terrorist activity in Libya—to include prior threats and attacks against Western targets—and given the known security shortfalls at the U.S. Mission,” the panel said in a statement.

The Feral Government wastes hundreds of millions of dollars, thousands of man-hours of busywork and an entire forest worth of paperwork to find out what the average "Joe The Plumber" knew 30 seconds after he heard the first reports of the Benghazi 9/11 terrorist attack.

Well...yeah. And they will just as good a job running the National Health Care System (or ZEROCARE, as I call it).

The State Dept was intentionally trying to reduce their security foot print ...

while intentionally increasing their double-dealing, back-stabbing illegal weapons dealing to help overthrow the government.

partly that they felt it gave a negative impression of the US.

That, and the fact that our State Department was intentionally staffing these CIA 'consulates' with known homosexuals and women, which made them stick out like a sore thumb in countries where homos and women are looked down upon (at least publicly).

Add to that the fact that the State Department made FUNDS AVAILABLE to allow Homosexual staff to take on local homosexuals and provide them with Health and Life Insurance. It's no wonder they couldn't afford heterosexual American guards.

Well, of course this could have been prevented. But that would have meant having more Americans in Tripoli who might see whatever treasonous and illegal actions Hillary and Obama were up to. Can’t have that happening, could they?

Brother... “they” are not your countrymen...

We are.

For all you’ve done and been through, you are admired, revered, respected... and beloved. By Americans, who are your family, your friends, and your real Countrymen.

As long as there is breath left in our lungs, the sacrifices of every American who ever stood on the wall will not be forgotten.

Welcome home, and thank you. You’re a better man than any of these pieces of garbage currently running amok in DC will ever be.

And the folks who matter KNOW it.

Benghazi epitomizes the entire conflict between Americans and our now corrupt government.

We are being lied to about the deaths of four Americans who died valiantly. We see cowardice, arrogance and incompetence from our leaders.

And now Hillary Clinton seeks the presidency with an attitude of indifference towards the whole event.

Hillary Clinton, “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?”—

“The committee determined that the U.S. military command in Africa didn’t know about the CIA annex and didn’t have the resources to defend the diplomatic compound in an emergency.”

That’s a rather narrow statement meant to be (mis)interpreted as “The US Military did not know about the CIA annex.” The US military WOULD have known if for no other reason than there is a military attache co-located in each US overseas embassy. Satellite communications would have allowed the embassy to instantly notify AFRICOM — or whatever they call that new joint command for the African continent.

I’ll bet Obama’s buddies in the US senate labored hard to get that wording inserted into the report.

15 people “supporting the investigation or otherwise helpful to the United States” have since been killed in Benghazi. The report says it is unclear whether those killings were related to the investigation.

hussein says he's getting good at killing people.

Senate report: Attack on U.S. compound in Benghazi could have been prevented....

...if we didn't have a twice unconstitutionally elected admitted foreign born Islamo terror supporting Marxist as faux POTUS.

That's the one and only answer to that question.

Yeah. They might think that invading a US compound would result in them getting killed. Can’t have that.
