More and more stories coming out about what a thug Christie is. Considering the bare knuckled nature of NJ politics, one of the most corrupt states in the US, I would think Christie was ok with screwing a political opponent even though it meant hellish commutes for the towns residents.

I wonder if the media would go after a Democratic governor, either way.

Such petty and juvenile behavior ought to be the basis of excluding Christie for any consideration for the Presidency. But then again a new standard has been set by Clinton and Obama.

Reminds me of Boston. The people around here are such chumps for putting up with their “leaders”.

The e-mails could prove a serious threat to Christie’s credibility at a time when he has emerged as a frontrunner for the Republican nomination for president in 2016. And they are likely to raise questions about whether the governor’s office was involved in what Democrats have said was a coordinated cover-up that has stretched on for months, as damaging details slowly emerge.

To begin, I do not favor KrispieKreme. But looking at the above, it's amazing that the dirty tricks are likely to harm the putative Republican candidate, while worse shenanigans (IRS audits) regarding enemies of the current occupant went under the radar of the so-called press in the last election - along with ignoring the anti-Americanism of the candidate's "brain-trust" during the first election cycle in 2008.

Private enterprise should build and maintain bridges and roads. Government can’t be trusted.

I grew up in and around Fort Lee. I wasn’t in the area, but can only imagine how awful the traffic must have been when they shut down the local approach lanes to the bridge.

I worked as an EMT for several years one town over from Fort Lee - given where our station-house was (and Fort Lee’s as well), this could have been an absolute disaster in terms of fire and ambulance response times. Not something you want to play around with for petty political reasons...

They did not care about the people trying to get to and from work, school, shopping or as stated about emergency vehicles being blocked.

obama is a psychopath that does not care one wit who gets hurt or killed because of his actions. We do not need another like him.

Though most consider Christie a RINO, taking retribution OBAMA/CLINTON style is something Demon-Rats (Democrats) are known for...

The lane closures were retribution for the mayor of that New Jersey City not backing Christie for Governor.

Sounds like that Mayor should be more in the news for National politics as he made the right decision in not backing Christie.
