So what are all the Occupy Wall Street types going to do about the elite socialist class. Every socialist society has an elite class, the ruling class. So they have no problem with elites, they just don’t want to be free and have their own opportunity.

Every socialist thinks he's the special snowflake that will end up on top. A lot of those ended up at the bottom of mass graves.

Yes, we need to make the moral case for the free market. But we also have to set fundamental facts straight. People are angry with #crony corporatism and with the #Great Recession, both of which they were wrongly blamed on #capitalism because of the media. Is all well and good, as Mr Shapiro normally does to blame the media. But the case that this is not a capitalist failure needs to be made to the American people. We should show that this is a failure of big government and that the solution is not bigger government.

This was salary. Stock options was in addition. In fact Lehman Bros stock option values were severely cut from ‘07 to ‘08, which was probably the justification for the big salary jump. Google “Forbes CEO Compensation” for the years “2007” and for “2008” if you don’t believe me.
