And 2014 is off to a roaring start. Except ObamaCare. Lots of grumbling out there as the people are finding their free health care ain't so free. And it's not there at all for many people who used to be fairly happy with our old system. I think it won't be long until a whole lot of people are going to wake up to the fact that government run health care is not for America. I think now would be a great time to run that repeal bill again. I think it will pick up a few more democrat votes. And if it fails in the senate, run it again in a month or so. Keep trying right up to November. By November, enough people will be fed up with the hard-line comunist democrats in the senate to vote in a new Republican majority. Woo hoo!! Go, tea party, go!!
Let's keep those cards and letters coming in folks. We need your support now more than ever. Time to turn this thing around.
No surrender, no retreat!!
ObamaCare is socialist/fascist tyranny and sets the precedent that there are no restrictions on what government can force you to do and no constitutionally guaranteed God-given unalienable right that the government cannot violate. ObamaCare effectively nullifies the Constitution.
We are the resistance. Do not submit to tyranny. Do not meekly sign away your Liberty!!

This notion that's peddled by the religious right - that they are oppressed is not true. Sometimes it's a cynical ploy to move their agenda ahead. The classic example being that somehow secularists are trying to eliminate Christmas, which strikes me as some kind of manufactured controversy.

Here's the deal. Free Republic exists for you, and because of you. Without the generosity of people like you, Free Republic would wither and die. Then where would you go to find a group of like-minded people, standing for the values and principles of conservatism, spreading the word about those who would tear down our way of life, and just plain having fun?
Free Republic doesn't have the financing of some billionaire, hidden in the background. Free Republic is "grass roots" all the way. We're not looking for 10 donors with $10,000 each, but we sure could use 10,000 donors with $10 each. The dollar amount may be the same, but the difference is in how we get there.
