GOP Establishment's War on Tea Party Comes to Texas
Breitbart ^ | 6 Jan 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 01/07/2014 7:08:34 AM PST by SoConPubbie

The Republican establishment's war against the Tea Party has come to Texas. According to a report in the Dallas Morning News, "Some of Texas’ biggest business trade groups are moving to counter tea party and anti-government forces that have dominated recent Republican primaries."

The Texas Future Business Alliance, described as a "mix of 10 major business groups, including the chemical industry, bankers, builders and contractors," is reportedly "sending out mailers and providing other support on behalf of GOP candidates" who favor more government spending and want to take on the Tea Party.

. .

Michael Quinn Sullivan, who is the president of the fiscal-hawk group Empower Texans, "said the Texas Future Business Alliance" is an "anti-Ted Cruz movement [that] is nothing but a group of big-money interests wanting taxpayer dollars to flow into their pockets." Designating them a "fake group," he also said they "want people who will vote for cronyism and corporate welfare.”

Though these business groups claim the Tea Party is swinging the legislature too far in their quest for fiscal conservatism, Sullivan said the notion that the Tea Party does not care about government is "ridiculous," arguing that they only want hard-earned taxpayer dollars spent prudently.

On the national level, groups like the Chamber of Commerce have indicated they are about to spend $50 million to try to destroy the Tea Party, largely because the Tea Party opposes amnesty for illegal immigrants and the corporations that have broken federal immigration laws to hire them. Karl Rove, who has his fingers in Texas politics, is reloading against the Tea Party on the national level as well. Furthermore, groups like former Rep. Steven LaTourette's (R-OH) Main Street Partnership are so hell-bent on destroying the Tea Party that the legality of their activities is being called into question.

If Sarah steps in for Stockman, which will probably be after the runoff, we'll see another Cruz v. Dewhurst redux.

Agree! And, since Sen Cruz hasn't endorsed John Cornball...imagine if Ted Cruz steps in for Stockman, too.

Speaking of...I've not been seeing any Stockman ads/signs, etc. I cannot tell if his campaign is taking off and doing well...other than by the anti-Stockman ads, paid for by Cornball associates.

We’ve got a real conservative Christian from Texas running in opposition to Cornyn—his name is Dwayne Stoval. Check him out and pass the word!

Ms. Jane, the link leads back to *here*...:)

I have been looking for the identities of those who make up this faux conservative group of back-stabbers...
Let’s make sure to pull the knife out and sever the fuel lines of the bus they threw us under!

As I said elsewhere, it is AMAZING, and puzzling...
WHY does this link:
texasfuturebusinessalliance.org

...lead ‘there’ of all places?

It almost looks like a scam on the gop-e
“We are the establishment!!!!!”

Yeah, like that in-your-face announcement is going to give me tingles....NOT!
ok, NOT!!!!!

"Some of Texas’ biggest business trade groups are moving to counter tea party and anti-government forces that have dominated recent Republican primaries."

I think that right there is proof enough that the Republican Party no longer represents the will of the American People. It's just another form of fascism. The Democrats are aligned with their special interests taking their money to create policy, the Republican's are doing the same thing.

Go look up the word "fascism." We're living under it -- it no longer matters which party is in power.

It's time to remind these bastards in D.C. that they work for us -- not the other way around!

It's time to strike fear in their hearts.

There, corrected.

This is a war between those who are self-founded and those who are funded by others or someone else’s child. Our rights are unalienable, and deviating from them brings communist slavery as an invite automatically.

The GOPe is sick in the head.

The great thing about Texas primaries is the runoff! The more candidates the better. Phase 1 is about stopping cornball from getting 50% of the vote. I wish your candidate (and all the others except the incumbant) the best of luck!

As I understand the article this group is focusing on state legislative races
not Federal races. Now that doesn’t mean that some of their focus may become
a part of some Federal races. Mar 4, 2014 isn’t but 55 days hence until
voters go to the polls in the Texas primaries. Big money will be spending
a lot of money soon I suspect.

Article snip;
The Texas Future Business Alliance — a mix of 10 major business groups,
including the chemical industry, bankers, builders and contractors —
is sending out mailers and providing other support on behalf of GOP
candidates who have supported water infrastructure development,
highway construction and education spending
end snip

At the bottom of this article in the DMN is a listing of some of the State
Legislators that possibly this group is going to support. It includes
two State Senators and six State Represenatives.

The article link I (finally) posted is about a Cornyn connected group/cohorts and their anti-Steve Stockman ads and website. Not about state legislator races.

(According to a report in the Dallas Morning News)

Austin has become a liberal bastion...Governor Perry has done much to lure business's to his state however, many have brought their liberal ways, Austin is one of the centers of those values, problems, and propaganda.

Having tasted the rare and heady elixir of true representation through Cruz, we want MORE!

The GOPe-Money Boi alliance will never be able to understand that, from their attacks on us.

Look at wiki’s Texas Senate Race data to see how easy it was to force a runoff between Cruz and Dewhurst.

>>It's time to remind these bastards in D.C. that they work for us — not the other way around! It's time to strike fear in their hearts.<<

Uncle Sugar has used all the alphabet agencies from the IRS to EPA to strike fear into citizens and even altering the outcome of an election.

Short of revolution, they will never fear us. They take our hard earned money and use it against us. These people (with the exception of a few) lust for money, power and control.

Pompous oligarchs the likes of Boehner, Ried, McConnell, McCain, Pelosi look down their noses at the American people as if we are some sort of inferior lower class subjects in need of direction and counsel.

Grrrrrrrrr! If they only knew the powder keg they sit atop. We keep on trying to bring about change through election, but I think freedom loving Americans are seeing their patience run thin.

Yes I understand your comments were about Federal races whereas this article
is about a group focusing on State legislative races. Or that is my understanging.

That little ugly image problemed Karl Rove loves a protective pimp in Obama.

Liberals and the GoPe live in their own bubble. they think we are the embarassing ones when they are the pimped laughing stock of the world.

Check this out for illustration. They all behave like high school kids. who the heck are these people?
