In Muslim countries, the onset of puberty (a young as 9 years-old) is considered an appropriate time for a marriage to be consummated. In 2000 the Iranian Parliament voted to raise the minimum age for girls to 14, but this year, a legislative oversight body dominated by traditional clerics vetoed the move. There is little concern in these countries for girls who give birth at such young ages (sometimes at 9 years old) and suffer the high death rates during child birth.

As usual, the Muslim author, Hend Salah, is being deceptive in her hypocritical rant about Duck Dynasty. When she wrote, "The Louisiana family’s patriarch was caught on tape urging men to marry girls who are still in high school. These are girls who are 15 and 16 years old," she failed to consider what is acceptable in most Muslim countries. Maybe she should spend some of her energies fighting the "pedophilia" in Muslim countries.

When, Madam Salah writes, "And here’s the big one. Phil Robertson’s comments toward homosexuality," she should be standing with Robertson's position on homosexuality. In the Qur'an (7:80-84) it says, "...For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.... And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone)." In most Muslim countries, homosexuality is punishable by death.

Madam Salah's rant against Phil Robertson is about Christianity and it is Christianity that she will take every opportunity to attack. It is the Muslim thing to do along with the lies and half truths (the Muslim way) to further her goals.

One of the stupidest pieces of writing I’ve ever read, and I’ve been a journalist for over 44 years.

Only goes to prove that:

*Fundamentalist moslems have no sense of humor.
*Fundamentalist moslem women are slaves to their “male dominated” culture and religion. (Only in America could this clown drive a car and not be driven off the rode by a Moslem male, esp. one in her family.
*She doesn’t know anything about hunting. In Saudi Arabia, for instance, it is the Royals who do a lot of the hunting,using birds of prey to kill other creatures. Wow, such talent.
* This is America. We can produce TV shows and let the market/audience decide what is good, what is lousy, and what is crap (Starting with the Housewives of - pick a city; The Kardashians - a disgrace to good Armenians everywhere; Honey Boo-Boo, whoever or whatever that is (related to Boo-Boo of Yogi the Bear fame?); Mob Wives, etc.

Quess the series about Moslems in America didn’t last too long, did it Ms Hend? Why? Maybe it is because the average Moslem who is both tolerant and hardworking doesn’t like crap TV, just as many other Americans don’t. They either don’t turn on the channel or turn it off. We can do things like that here, in case you haven’t noticed and not have the Morality Police whip us.

Stick to dealing cards in Vegas or hunting for electric pole transformer glass in the desert. You’ll do better at that then writing a coherent column on a subject you seem to know nothing about.

Better than that. Do a Helen Thomas and blame “Duck Dynasty” on the Joosz. That’s right up your alley. Might get you a small following of Bin Laden babes.
