Know what to rail against!

Good point. One of them is long dead. The other is an active threat today.

What’s your point? You don’t think I know that there are lots of lefty a-holes in Hollywood and elsewhere who admire Che and other communist mass murderers?

Sorry, but it’s not the person who is a threat, it’s the ideas that he espouses, that in the case of dead Commies dominate the academie, the media and one of the American political parties. The Che T-shirts only symbolize the rot that’s at the core of today’s America. As for Putin’s ideas, I’m no expert on them, but I’m pretty sure they are no Marxist/Leninist like the ideas of the Magic Negro in the White Hut of Oahu as of present week.

The two sides [Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Russia] agreed to "promote and enhance friendly relations" in line with the joint declaration of July 19, 2000 and the Russia-DPRK friendship and good neighborly cooperation treaty of February 9, 2000.

Putin and Kim agreed during their talks to promote a Russian- DPRK political dialogue on the Korean issue and international affairs, and discussed many topical international problems, deputy head of the Russian presidential administration Sergei Prikhodko told reporters following the talks.

The two leaders spoke for an independent and peaceful solution to the issue of reunification of the Korean Peninsula, and against "any outside obstacles to this process" as "unacceptable."

We are creating a new world, a balanced world. A new world order, a multipolar world,” Chavez told reporters during a visit to Communist China, one of many. His “new world order” includes [RUSSIA], China, Iran,... and a significantly weakened United States, he explained.

It’s not about who they admire, but who had the biggest impact in 2013, and it’s hard to argue that it was anyone but Putin, like him or not.

Russia’s military spending soars
February, 2011

Russia has revealed details of its ambitious plan to upgrade its army over the next ten years, planning to spend US$650 billion on the project.

The unveiled large-scale plans of the Russian defense ministry propose the spending of vast sums of money up to 2020.

First and foremost, Russian defense will focus on the development of strategic nuclear weapons, construction of over 100 military vessels for Russian Navy, including construction of four originally French-made Mistral-class amphibious assault ships, and the introduction into the Air Force of over 1,000 helicopters and 600 military planes, including fifth generation PAK-FA fighter.

Most of the military hardware will be equipped with next-generation weaponry.

That's the question, many assume that Putin is a hard line commie, and point to verbiage in speeches and comments he has made over the last 15 years.

In observing Putin's actions, however, he does little to support Communism or Communists, or even leftists. His actions do reflect authoritarianism, and Russian Nationalism just short of Empire, but beyond military superpower.

Putin is not an America booster, but it's not his job to be (nor should it be), his job is to make Russia strong and prosperous, and he has steadily been going in that direction, while Obama's US is steadily going in the opposite direction.

Exactly. Putin is promoting Russia’s interests all over the world. Who is promoting America’s interests? D’UH! The little country of Hungary is promoting its interests all over the world. There is no room for a vacuum in geopolitics, and there never has been, and vacuum is what’s happened once America withdrew.

Are you kidding? I just posted a ton of stuff here illustrating how Russia still supports leftist regimes. And that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Putin is hardly a jewel, but he’s LESS an enemy to me and my values than Obama’s ilk or the leftist trash in the media and Hollywood. In fact, his devotion to the health and survival of his country is a completely admirable trait.

Putin is clearly the best ruler Russia has ever had since Tsar Peter; Bork Obunga is the worst ruler any advanced state has had since Nero.

Aside from everything else, Putin is mainly responsible for the demise of the global warming hoax; he ordered the hack attacks which spilled the beans on that East Anglia CU email database.

Did Communism Fake Its Own Death in 1991?
American Thinker ^ | January 16, 2010 | Jason McNew

In a [] 1984 book [New Lies for Old], ex-KGB Major Anatoliy Golitsyn predicted the liberalization of the Soviet Bloc and claimed that it would be a strategic deception. ..."

"Golitsyn's argument was that beginning in about 1960, the Soviet Union embarked on a strategy of massive long-range strategic deception which would span several decades and result in the destruction of Western capitalism and the erection of a communist world government."

"Golitsyn published his second book, The Perestroika Deception, after the Soviet Union was dissolved in 1991. This book contained further analysis of the liberalization, in addition to previously classified memoranda submitted by Golitsyn to the CIA. The two books must be read together to get a complete picture of Golitsyn's thesis."
