I call BS-—how would listening to all our phone calls have any effect at all on listening in on terrorists?

Do they have someone assigned to every one of us?

For the first time in my life, I no longer trust my government. We have been going downhill as far as privacy and freedom since at least the Carter years, and maybe before that.

They mostly just store raw data on a big hard drive. They don’t bother to listen to each phone call. How they decide which bits of raw data require further scrutiny and use it to stop terror attacks is beyond me. How they allegedly keep themselves from abusing the system to target political foes both large and small is not believable imho. Would the libtards have let Dubya get away with something this massive?

Super computers sorting and pulling conversations based on language, accent, keywords, location/origin of calls. Capture everything, but only concentrate on the ones that trip the parameters.

At least that’s what Michael Crichton wrote how they did it in ‘State of Fear,’ if I recall.

They were warned again and again, but they ignored it. All the data in the world cannot overrule PC.
