I’m not sure they will qualify for unemployment. They have to prove they were fired for unjust cause - not an easy thing to prove. And, even if they do qualify, they will only receive a small fraction of what they received on the job. Food stamps and medicaid do NOT pay the bills - that takes cash. Sure, some might sell their stamps, but they still will come up short to buy groceries out of their reduced pay (if they get it).
Some need to educate themselves regarding labor law.
