Phil Robertson came under fire after making anti-gay comments, causing the former Alaska Governor to tweet those "taking on" the reality star are taking "on us all."
Sarah Palin has come to the defense of embattled Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson. After A&E placed Robertson on indefinite hiatus for making anti-gay remarks, Palin tweeted her support of the reality star.
"Free speech is endangered species; those 'intolerants' hatin' & taking on Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing personal opinion take on us all," she tweeted.
On her Facebook page, Palin posted a picture of herself with members of the Duck Dynasty family....

I love Sarah Palin, but she’s wrong this time, as are many others. There is no free speech problem here. A&E has the 1st Amendment right to broadcast what they see fit, and Phil Robertson (a good man) is free to speak as he sees fit in whatever venue will have him.
The First Amendment says “Congress shall make no law,” not “A&E shall put your speech on television.” Otherwise I could claim that MY free speech rights are under attack because A&E hasn’t given me a TV show.
Also, obviously TV viewers have the right to watch or not watch A&E as they see fit.
Okay, then why are bakers forced by the courts to make wedding cakes for homosexual weddings against their will?
I’m hoping that Conservatives and Christians just flood A&E with negative messages for their suspension of the guy for voicing his personal opinion in a magazine with little readership. ......It wasn’t stated on A&E, so viewers didn’t see or hear what he said.
A&E is now afraid of the approx. 3% of the population, when the Robertsons on Duck Dynasty are bringing in big bucks? Are the idiots at A&E really that stupid???

There actually is since homosexual activists and leftists are claiming Robertson engaged in hate speech, keep implying hate speech should be illegal and are defining what the Bible says about homosexuality to be hate speech.

A&E needs the Robertsons more than they need A&E.
I think Sarah Palin is making the case for opinion and free speech in the general sense, not the constitutional sense. The Left wants to destroy people for having the wrong opinion.

I think there is a SINGULAR response to this whole issue, and that is in re-printing EXACTLY what he said. Rather than focusing on the one part that the gays want to be up in arms about, post the reply with the entire text, and include his reply statement about the controversy.

Wrong! Robertson’s remarks came in a magazine interview which had nothing to do with “A&E”. Covered “free speech”.
You need to read up on the First Amendment and all its correlary court decisions.
