Punched In The Nose (SCF response to McConnell, Boehner attacks on Conservatives)
Senate Conservatives Fund ^ | 12/17/13 | Senate Conservatives Fund

Posted on 12/18/2013 11:04:55 AM PST by jimbo123

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) joined Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) last week in declaring war on conservatives.

John Boehner called conservatives "ridiculous" for opposing the budget agreement that increases spending, raises taxes, and funds Obamacare while Mitch McConnell previously called us stupid "traitors" who should be locked in a bar and "punched in the nose."

These Republican leaders are attacking conservatives because they don't like it when the grassroots hold them accountable.

Unfortunately, their attacks go beyond words. A top conservative aide in the House was fired last week for opposing John Boehner's budget and Mitch McConnell has blacklisted political firms that work for conservatives.

What these leaders are doing to conservatives is very similar to what the IRS got caught doing to them this summer. They're using their power to intimidate people they see as a political threat.

Sounds like an opportunity to donate more to the SCF. Boehner and McConnell are just leaders of one wing of the Republicrat party who are united against the productive half of the American people.

The venal, greedy, incompetent democrats have handed republicans a gift - an almost iron clad guarantee that voters will be ready to boot democrats out of office in 2014 as a reaction to Obamacare and the lies and deceit democrats used to push it on the country.

So what do republican “leaders” do with this gift?

They spend their time making war on fellow republicans, especially conservatives without whom they will never win another election.

They're also going to pass Amnesty in the House with a Boehner/Ryan/Cantor/Pelosi RAT-RINO coalition.

Someone made a good point earlier - they're probably terrified that the oncoming "wave" election is going to result in a large enough conservative (as opposed to Republican) delegation to disrupt the "business as usual" model that's been so comfortable and profitable for them.

SO, it's all hands on deck to blunt any conservative surge in the primaries, and then ride the lesser wave to (at most) a narrow control of both chambers. Honestly, I doubt they'd care if they stayed as the minority party in the Senate, as long as the apple cart isn't disrupted.

Sadly, the results of the recent Ryan budget sell-out demonstrates that there are very few real conservatives in the House. When 2/3rds of the Republican House delegation supports increased spending and increased taxation, it confirms that even a massive Republican margin in the 2014 elections will do little to stem the tide.

If Sarah Palin involves herself with SC, it won’t be to help Linda.

It sounds like this might be a good time for another SCF donation. It’s obvious GOP-e is in panic mode.

These Republican leaders are attacking conservatives because they don't like it when the grassroots hold them accountable.

Then the grassroots need to throw them out of office. To hell with that ungrateful Boehner who is only speaker BECAUSE of us.

I can't begin to explain how much hatred I have for him and McConnell and their ilk.
