He was also suggesting we buy as much protein bars as possible as edible protein was going to become more valuable than gold.

Inorganic compounds are those that do not contain carbon or hydrogen.

Would you care to explain what you think inorganic carbon is? Carbon is an atom remember.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenic_petroleum_origin

Crude oil is mostly biological in origin. Some crude oil formed deep in the crust is form carbon and inorganic compounds and is called Abiogenic.

My memory faded in some areas. Is this better?

Oh, I wasn’t saying he wasn’t crazy, just that, whether the idiot knew it or not, he was technically right in a way he didn’t think about.

No. That is myth, not fact.

I don’t recommend wikipedia as a source on controversial topics. If you don’t like what you read, you can just change it to what you want.

Wikipedia was just the top of the list. There are many articles like it form many sources. It would be just as hard to prove as global warming as there is no smoking gun. I doubt that I can convince you on this one but I do offer this: http://www.technologyreview.com/news/521031/company-makes-co2-into-liquid-fuel-with-help-from-a-volcano/ from MIT. It is an interesting read on making methanol. Give it more time, pressure and temperature and you could make crude.

I’m sorry, but you appear to not understand the complexity of the components that make up crude oil. Such as paraffins, naphthenes, aromatics, asphaltics for starters. It can contain hydrocarbon of C100 and even larger.

All you are referencing is hypothesis that it might have a aboitic origin while ignoring multiple physical constraints from such sourcing.

Yep, I agree. It’s like the lubricant for all those techtonic plate movements and such.

Besides, if it was from dead stuff why would we run out since things are still dying last time I checked.

Yes, it’s an uneducated opinion but just my thoughts.

I see you know what you are talking about so I have a question...why are we constantly told by the left we are “running out of oil” when we seem to keep finding more and more?
