I’ve been asking for a while now what keeps a man from marrying his father, especially if he can save a ton of money on inheritance taxes. Incest? Why? Incest laws are meant to prevent deformed children as a result of inbreeding. Not a problem between two men.
How are the courts going to find their way out of this? It won’t be easy.
When the courts threw out sodomy laws, it opened he gates wide.
Now that is a novel idea. People could avoid inheritance taxes completely if a son married a dad, or whatever weird combination you can think of.
Do these people really not understand what they have done if polygamy is allowed? What if 1000 people want to marry each other? What if several people are married and some want a divorce but others don’t? What if A wants to still be married to B and C, but not to D and E? The legal complications on property, alimony, child support, child custody, inheritance, and a lot of other things would be enormous. It’s insane.
