It's time to reconsider polygamy

Polygamy is back in the headlines.

Last week, a federal judge in Utah struck down part of the state's anti-polygamy law as unconstitutional, although he kept the ban on possessing more than one marriage license at a time. Fans of the "Sister Wives" reality TV stars, who filed the suit, are rejoicing in the news.

At the other end of the spectrum, TLC debuted its newest docuseries, "Breaking the Faith," which tells the dark story of women and children trying to escape from the practice.

Another lawsuit filed by the Department of Justice alleges that polygamous clans are secretly running the show in Utah and Arizona townships, manipulating the political process from behind the scenes. And in Texas, the Attorney General's Office is inching closer to seizing a massive polygamous ranch.

Across the country, angry citizens are calling for the government to follow its own laws and crack down on polygamy.

Meanwhile, celebrities like Akon and various news outlets encourage people of all ages to reconsider plural marriage....

The future of that: messy convoluted divorce proceedings.
Result: lawyers say “cha-ching!”

IF you’re a 16 yr. old guy, you might imagine polygamy meant more sex.

If you’re over 30 you likely understand it means multiple wives.

It is unlikely that the sign over your front door reads “Let it be written, Let it be done”.

Do you really want to try to compromise with more than one woman?

Polygamous relationships have been, off and on, the norm throughout most of the cultures of the world through history. The practice was prevalent in the Roman Empire, which even led Paul to tell Timothy that a bishop should have but one wife. Why? Because polygamy was so prevalent in the pagan world.

We are seeing a resurgence of these trends because we are seeing a resurgence of paganism due, in large part, to a feckless church that is failing to reach the broader society with the truth and power of the gospel.

I’ve been asking for a while now what keeps a man from marrying his father, especially if he can save a ton of money on inheritance taxes. Incest? Why? Incest laws are meant to prevent deformed children as a result of inbreeding. Not a problem between two men.

And they will deny the next perverse step — until it also becomes grim reality.

“IF you’re a 16 yr. old guy, you might imagine polygamy meant more sex.”

Unfortunately, that is the worldview driving this nonsense: pagan, hedonistic, responsibility-free sex. They don’t want more wives: they want more women to subjugate and use.

Historically, it means less sex for the young'uns, and no wives for those lower on the financial security totem pole.

Older rich guys are the big winner (on the surface, for those who think this is a good idea.)

Oh, and aging wives will have to contend with new phillies added to the stable.

How are the courts going to find their way out of this? It won’t be easy.

When the courts threw out sodomy laws, it opened he gates wide.

Yes, pedophilia is next up for legalization only it will first appear as consensual sex between an adult and a 15 year old, then a 14 year old etc.

But they won’t call it pedophilia. It will be called something like Wisdom Partner, Counselor Partner or Rescue Marriage with phrases like ‘Young Love Choice’, anything to give it some sort of sound that seems benign and perhaps legitimate. The Left is good at word games. Domestic partnership, Civil Union became homosexual marriage or ‘gay’ marriage and then ‘Marriage Equality’.

Pedophilia will be expressed in the Press under some other name as helping young confused people (the word child will never be used) and giving these confused young persons a chance of having a mature benefactor.

It will happen because homosexuals can now marry in many states and many pedophiles are homosexuals.

I never thought in my lifetime that I would see homosexuality pushed as normal. But here it is.

Oh my!

If they all moved in and synchronized the earth could spin off its axis!

That end the polygamy trend. Self-correcting system?

I’m not feeling very represented and extremely repressed!!

I should be able to marry my 10 girlfriends. they’ve never left me, are very attentive, and depend on me for everything. we all want kids as well. I figure there’ll be at least 100 children in no time.

unfortunately that means my 100 deductions won’t allow me to pay as much in taxes as I’d otherwise be doing.. but it’s for the children!

what? are you a hater? do you doubt my human-goldfish love is true??

bring on the bestial-polygamy and stop repressing true love!!

;)
