House lawyers late Monday filed court papers asking a federal judge to force the Justice Department to turn over records to reveal the extent of efforts to stonewall a congressional probe into a botched weapons investigation known as Fast and Furious.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee wants the records to wrap up its probe, which has shifted from the bungled gun-walking operation to “an apparent effort, over a period of many months, by high level DOJ officials” to hinder the investigation, lawyers argued in a court pleading filed Tuesday night in federal court in Washington.
The request marks the latest development in a long, bitter battle for access to documents, which has already seen the House vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt.
House lawyers also rejected Mr. Holder’s claim to withhold documents based on an exemption known as deliberative process.
“But deciding how to stiff Congress and spin the media is simply not a ‘policy’ to which the privilege attaches,” House General Counsel Kerry W. Kircher argued in the pleading.

Shredders on overdrive. “Oh, we’re very sorry but those documents have been mislaid. We are trying to find them.”
If they weren’t violating the law and the Constitution and the Civil Rights of people, they wouldn’t have any problem handing over those documents. We have an illegitimate regime running our Government now.
If the law does not apply to them, why should it apply to us? They do not know the consequences of their actions.

We can’t allow this stuff to go down the memory hole once the GOP is in control again. High ranking people need to go to prison and fear needs to be instilled in all.

Unbelievable: ATF Using Mentally Disabled Teens to Run Drug-and-Gun Stings

If you thought the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) couldn’t stoop any lower, you’d be wrong. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the agency responsible for setting off the events that led to Waco and were at the center of the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal are using mentally disabled teenagers to advertise businessess that are actually fronts for ATF sting operations.
The Journal Sentinel’s expose leads with the tale of Aaron Key, a 19-year-old stoner whose mind is not quite all there. The ower of a head shop in Portland, Oregon, befriended Key and his friends online and then paid them to get neck tattoos advertising “Squid’s Smoke Shop.”
He and his friend, Marquis Glover, liked Squid’s. It was their hangout. The 19-year-olds spent many afternoons there playing Xbox and chatting with the owner, “Squid,” and the store clerks.
So they took the money and got the ink etched on their necks, tentacles creeping down to their collarbones.
It would be months before the young men learned the whole thing was a setup. The guys running Squid’s were actually undercover ATF agents conducting a sting to get guns away from criminals and drugs off the street.
The tattoos had been sponsored by the U.S. government; advertisements for a fake storefront.
The teens found out as they were arrested and booked into jail.

They dropped the ball on this a long time ago.
They can investigate Ryan for agreeing with Murray to renege on their contract with the military.
They are horrible people.

If I were the new president, EVERY US Attorney, EVERY DOJ and ATF agent GS-15 & above would be escorted out of their offices by armed US Marshalls on January 21, 2017 at 12:01 PM. Hell, for the ATF, I’d probably go down to a GS-11 and 13, too.

Obama just loaded the District Court, Holder is in his pocket, there is no one to force democrats to do anything.
Oh it can be ordered but who will enforce the order.
We don’t have a Justice Department any longer.
I believe you’re right. This is a last ditch effort short of the House Sergeant at Arms arresting Holder and we know that won’t happen.
Screw jail. He deserves life in the penitentiary.
There’s no doubt that he and his boss belong in a federal slammer, they both consider themselves above the law.
