I'm hearing alot about it on the social media sites:
"Hey! That's our line." 1960s Rockefeller Republicans and Liberals. "We used it against Goldwater! We had to destroy him as a member of the human race."
We're all Goldwaters now.
A couple years ago, I went to a comedy club in DC. I was the only white guy in the place, but my date, a white woman comedian, had hood cred...long story, but everyone there knew her and the work she did to help the children in the hood...
Anyway, the comedian on stage stopped his routine to make note that we were walking in and being seated, as the only two white people there. (As we were walking in, he was preaching the praises of Obama, that even white people like him.) He said, “I’ll prove it...you sir [pointing to me], did you vote for President Obama?”
“HELL NO!”
It took him off his stride and couldn’t recover. But, a couple of the high rollers on the place bought me drinks with comments about my bravery and sticking to the truth, even if it got me shot.

There is no way to move enough water to make a difference.
Shocking statistics surfacing about record busting, low water levels in America’s Great Lakes make no mention of the sale of fresh water supplies by private companies to China, or of President Obama’s executive order and the legal loophole allowing these sales. “Two of the Great Lakes have hit their lowest water levels EVER RECORDED,” the US Army Corps of Engineers reported early this year. Corps measurements taken in January of 2013 “show Lake Huron and Lake Michigan have reached their lowest ebb since record keeping began in 1918.” The chief watershed hydrology expert warns Americans that “We’re in an extreme situation.” Keith Kompoltowicz heads up the corps district office in Detroit as hand wringing, citizen angst, and shippers’ economic losses pile up.

No. They were threatening, or suggesting that not liking Obama was about the equivalent of saying the “N”-word.
No surprise there.
