Yeah, but that big-tent-Dem-lite hasn’t worked so well and you professional politicians keep dissing the conservative base/Tea Party faction.

That doesn’t seem to be such a winning strategy. If it were not for the Tea Party/conservatives of 2010, you wouldn’t even have a majority in the House.

You're exactly right.

When Republicans don't fight on the budget you get two problems.

One, low info voters don't realize that there is a spending problem.

And two, voters who do think that there is a spending problem, can't tell the difference between a Republican and a Democrat.
