He was bullied for his outspoken opinions and didn't care much for Republicans.
Karl Pierson, 18, who stormed his Colorado high school brandishing a shotgun and bearing hatred for his debate coach, critically injured a 15-year-old fellow student before shooting himself to death Friday afternoon as he was cornered by heavily armed police.
"He had very strong beliefs about gun laws and stuff," said junior Abbey Skoda, who shared a class with Pierson during her freshmen year, The Denver Post reported. "I also heard he was bullied a lot."
After undergoing surgery Friday, the injured girl was listed in critical, but stable, condition on Saturday.
On his Facebook page, he seemed to make fun of Republicans, writing "you republicans are so cute" and posting an image that read: "The Republican Party: Health Care: Let 'em Die, Climate Change: Let 'em Die, Gun Violence: Let 'em Die, Women's Rights: Let 'em Die, More War: Let 'em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?" The Denver Post reported.
On Saturday, his Facebook comments had been wiped from his page.

How is the left going to connect the perp to the Tea Party?
Somehow I bet the MSM will spin this into the kid was a Tea Party Republican Conservative who had Rush Limbaugh living in his head.
Odd how it’s always liberal whackos that shoot up places. Of course it makes sense in the context of their not respecting the sanctity of life.
Libs never understand that THEY are the problems in society.
A conundrum indeed.
We’ll never see this mentioned in the national MSM, ever.
They will just lie. Then they will lie some more and continue to lie. After a while the lie will be believed
“The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ‘em Die, Climate Change: Let ‘em Die, Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ‘em Die, More War: Let ‘em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?” The Denver Post reported. “
DNC talking points. Did he just lift this from the DNC webpage?
the bigger story is how the folking coppers frog marched the innocent student population out of the school
I hate living in a police state
Oh so he was “bullied” by those nasty conservatives.
You could say he was the perfect liberal in the making. Lose an argument and resort to violence. Standard operating procedure of the left.
It’s the kid that sounds like the bully
Just being reported on local news shooter was pro-communist and very compative.
Trying to lure the shooter away??? Yeh -- right!
I'm sure that's debatable.
No, it's not.
Check out who is in power when major genocides are perpetrated.
Socialists and/or Islamicists.
So he was no different than any other mass shooter the last five years.
They’ll repeat the part about having strong beliefs about gun laws & leave the Repub stuff out..the narrative will be pro-2nd amendment extremist, tea partier!
"The Republican Party:The Denver Post reported.
Health Care: Let 'em Die,
Climate Change: Let 'em Die,
Gun Violence: Let 'em Die,
Women's Rights: Let 'em Die,
More War: Let 'em Die.
Is this really the side you want to be on?"
I blame Chris Matthews, Michael Moore, Bill Maher, and Jon Stewart for this indoctrinated mind full of mush.P
Expected story from Chris Matthews: "The poor boy was so bullied by tea baggers that he turned the guns he so loathed against their advocates. If only he hadn't been so bullied by those evil tea baggers."
