Conservatives: We’re ‘under attack’ on Hill
Politico ^ | December 11, 2013 | ANNA PALMER and JAKE SHERMAN

Conservative activists are hitting back.

More than 50 high profile conservatives signed onto a statement Wednesday responding to both House Speaker John Boehner’s harsh words for conservative groups earlier in the day and to the firing of the Republican Study Committee’s long-time executive director Paul Teller.

“It is clear that the conservative movement has come under attack on Capitol Hill today,” the statement reads.

They’ve been doing it for a long time. They’ll pass some bill banning flag burning and the base will come crying back, so they think.

More like a...

Now tell me with a straight face that people who are too ‘whatever’ to make a principled vote are going to do anything but line up for the cattle cars WHEN that time comes.

Of course of recent actions are anything to go by, a number of ‘conservatives’ will act as capos.

That is why I said that the majority of this people have a fatal case of 'normalcy bias'.

Like the Jews in Europe 70 years ago - we absolutely refuse to believe and recognize what is happening to us. 70 years ago, when forced out of their homes onto boxcars they refused to believe what was happening to them - and dutifully lined up naked over trenches where they were machine gunned to their deaths.

Later they were simply led to the showers, and they bought that lie and walked themselves to their own deaths - refusing to believe those who were attempting to warn them what the Reich was doing to them.

Nothing new under the sun.

Don’t mean to split hair, pick nit, etc. but where in any Republican Party lit. did you see them claim to propose doing any actual “job?” The only strategy I ever see is “we gotta beat dims”. I haven’t sent them any money in years because I keep asking what the platform is, and they keep blowing me off. Guess I’ve been blown by the best? I get countless fundraising letters and I usually send back a “term limits” flyer I made years ago, using their stamp. You know they hire professional mail mill people to do the fund raising so the return mail never gets seen by anyone——which is another one of my bitches. The arrogant SOB’s just don’t think they have to answer folks. But keep your rope dry, practice your knots, and keep your tar warm-—It seems like we’re going to need them

There is no negotiating in good faith with individuals or within the system. It’s a waste of time. Working within the states is the solution.

Only if those working to make that a true solution understand the stakes and have made preparations and are willing to do what is necessary to defend those efforts.

History teaches that tyranny will absolutely NOT abide by any efforts or laws passed to circumvent their authority. Instead the tyranny will will - under the color of law - CRUSH and destroy by force anything it sees as a threat to it's rule.

Americans better understand this fact: no matter what we attempt to do to stop this MarxoFascist juggernaut - it will not happen via any civil means.

It will come down to violence and bloodshed. Our own foundations prove this fact when dealing with tyrants. You cannot defy their rule and authority by civil means. The tyrant WILL attempt to subjugate by force.

Better wake up those few of you willing to understand what time we have arrived as a nation.

Yup. Doomed to repeat history.

One of the things I see repeated on this and many threads is that the Pubs never fought the Dems as hard as they fight us. And that’s the truth. People see that, yet they miss the obvious:

That fight isn’t just in DC. It’s in our towns and here on the net EVERY TIME you see one of their minions say “Lesser evil”, I’ll fight in the primary but vote GOP no matter who it is” and the like.

Why on earth would Bonehr and Co. EVER do anything but what they themselves want knowing that they can rely on so many here to go right along and vote for them “no matter what”? They shouldn’t disparage the DUmmies. They are exactly the same mentally.

Is it normalcy bias, willful ignorance, stubborn pride or are they really not the conservatives they boast they are?

Probably some of each.

Norm, i wish you’d reconsider leaving.

hearing arguments like yours, a few of the blind like myself (thanks to our Lord opening eyes), must still be waking up. otherwise, i reason that this world would no longer be.

The normalcy bias is worse than simply stuck on stupid in the voting booth.

The fatal case of normalcy bias is the fact that few will understand that voting at this point forward is irrelevant, same as their vain belief that this government is still restrained by the bounds of the rule of law.

We have no rule of law anymore. We have the rule of tyrants and their dictates, and whatever decrees and ‘laws’ they decree upon those whom they see as a threat to their rule.

The GOP leadership are Judenrats for the MarxoFascists - because they know where the power is going to lie - and they want to share in it’s power and control.

Boehner and McConnell are actually worse and far more destructive to liberty than someone like Obama.

They are the ones who are herding their own people into shackles and gas chambers.

Thanks, but I have had it. MANY of us have made this exact argument. Many still do almost daily. I see plenty of those who believe as I do. And I hope for all our sakes, they continue. But I have lost almost all faith in my fellow ‘conservatives’. And it’s in quotes because the people I am talking about are anything BUT conservative.

I told this story several times on FR, but if you missed it, here it is...

In the late 90s/early 2000s I was senior ed at www.off-road.com. We were then and for many years the #2 motorsports site second only to NASCAR.com. Our readership was in the millions globally. Thats a fact anyone can look up.

We took the lead in fighting land closures by the BLM/Sierra Club and their merry band of communists. We warned people, told them, showed them facts and evidence...all the same things many of us do here. you might think off-roaders would care about such things.

You would be wrong in many cases.

A significant number trashed us, demanded we ‘compromise’ and all she SAME THINGS you see these idiot ‘conservatives doing with the GOP.

In the end, there was ‘compromise”.

Lesser evil” was chosen by the majority of the off-roaders as the way to go. Proof? Tale a look at the BLM’s own stats for western land closures since about 2001.

Many of those people refused to fight. And they lost it all. Here, in a somewhat more important issue of our constitutional and God given rights, the same mentality holds sway.

I am tired of beating my head into a wall. These people deserve exactly the hell their inaction and outright sabotage of conservatism will result in. Sometimes you just gotta sit back and let people experience the result of their choices. They refuse to learn, but pain is a good teacher.

So rather than contribute to the chaos, I am just going to stand back and watch history repeat. Maybe we can pick up the pieces later and maybe not. Either way they brought it on us all. and they can choke on it.

Bottom line: You cannot fight a battle, much less win a war when your OWN troops are supplying the enemy.

Have felt like you occasionally, just suck it up and fight on.
Back away a few days, then come back with a vengeance on the bastards, they are loosing traction.
We all know it ain't going to be an easy fight, uphill all the way, that isn't a reason to quit fighting in my book.

"How many slaps in the face do people need?"

One less than they might need if you left. The biggest battle of our lifetimes is on the horizon. I'm dug in tight as a tick to help fight it. You may not need to anchor our flank but we need your gun in the line.

I took a 2 month break. And I see the same idiots doing their best to keep us on the plantation. A few days more isn’t gonna help. But it ain’t about me. It’s about all the people out there that sit back and let the BhonerBots push the BhonerLiberalism.

When people start telling these idiots to go to hell in public, we might have a hope of starting, much less finishing this battle.

If people don’t want people who believe as I do to give up, then they should give us some freaking help.

Oh absolutely it’s worse. And thats why we are screwed. As I said, if they can’t even do a simple thing like vote for their principles, they can’t be trusted to have anyone’s back when the SHTF.

Can anyone here honestly say they would trust such people with their lives? Because if you are right, and I believe you are, it will come to that.

I voted Romney because I thought at the time that he was the best of a bevy of bad choices.

Now, I find that every choice was equally bad. Mea culpa.

It is happening, damn sure not as fast as you or I would like, but it is happening.
If it wouldn't be happening, the tea party movement wouldn't exist.

Never forget the old adage, "Sometimes you have to hit a jackass in the head with a 2X4 to get his attention".
Well a bunch of people done been hit in the head the last few years with a 2X4.
Reality for the sheeple is fixing to set in, big time, with Obamacare.

There are more of you and I out there than you think and growing.
Believe your own eyes, not crap propaganda from the MSM, politicians and straggler sheeple (losers).

Libertarians are likely going to be the only party to show gains. Everyone is DONE, spent and flattened, with all the inbreeding that the Republicans are allowing between the two majors.

We all make mistakes. Sometimes really bad ones. Learning not to repeat them is the best we can hope for. But some refuse to learn and demand we repeat them.

THOSE are the people I’m talking about.

Thats just it. Look at the threads on conservative sites. Yes, many are waking up and thank God for it.

But look at how freely and forcefully the GOPBots push their agenda of ‘lesser evil” and the rest with no blowback.

Silence is consent. People may indeed be waking. But they are still not fighting.
