Politico ^ | December 11, 2013 | ANNA PALMER and JAKE SHERMAN

Conservative activists are hitting back.

More than 50 high profile conservatives signed onto a statement Wednesday responding to both House Speaker John Boehner’s harsh words for conservative groups earlier in the day and to the firing of the Republican Study Committee’s long-time executive director Paul Teller.

“It is clear that the conservative movement has come under attack on Capitol Hill today,” the statement reads.

If they are just now realizing they are “under attack” we have a problem. The GOPe has been going after the conservative wing of the party for quite some time.

I'd tell Boehner boy to go to hell and that I'll never vote Republican again with their GOP-E candidates, but the reality is I'm stuck living in this shithole called Illinois and my vote doesn't count anyway.......

But still, FUJB!! Someone in Ohio PLEASE Primary his ass. I'd like nothing more than to donate to the person who runs against him AND WINS.

Good catch. What else has the Senate GOP let slip by, because elections? I mean Obama and the Dems are in self-destruct over Democratcare, but is the best strategy to just lay down? Why wouldn’t they take care of the unemployment extension in one grand deal?

You might be right but, then, the same could be said for the commentators here on FR.

I listened to a conversation between Rush Limbaugh and an aide to George W. Bush named Ed Gillespie some years ago.

Gillespie is a longtime GOP insider-RNC and so on.

Rush asked Gillespie about cutting government departments like Education, Energy etc. etc.

Gillespie said “That’s not going to happen.....”

CASE CLOSED...........

You defeat the GOPe in the primary if you can, but run a third party conservative so win or lose we have a choice.

If the GOPe has written election laws to forestall a third party, write in a conservative name.

NO MORE VOTES FOR RINO’S AS IN 90 PERCENT OR MORE OF CURRENT ELECTED REPUBLICANS.

If I understand the situation correctly and I’m not read up on the latest, Boehner has three primary opponents next year meaning his re-election is being rigged if that’s true.

In Ohio apparently all he has to do is get the most votes and it appears they have a law deterring a third party as well.

Conservatives may have to get a write-in candidate ready for the general election to beat Boehner because it could come down to that.

Oh Norm, don't be so drastic.

I for one am NOT a republican.

At All.

The GOP is the second party of government.

No scratch that they are the "right wing" of the Uniparty.

And the Uniparty hates anyone who doesn't conform to their group think.

Anyone who calls out the corruption or incestuous relationship is attacked and the members of the Uniparty believe it.

Be an Independent thinker!

To Hell with the GOP I say.

“The GOP fights its own base with far more vigor than it employs in fighting the Dims.”

Worth repeating. Like forcing the drunk uncle into rehab when he is planning to leave you a fortune.

That’s because the GOPe are nothing more than welfare queens for the dems. The dems got to them just like anyone else on a handout, and they are going to fight tooth and nail to get the scraps that are fed them.

The end-game of the Republican “leaders” is holding onto the House and taking control of the Senate in 2014.

How they expect to do this by antagonizing/alienating the conservative component of the Republican base into staying home during the election is beyond me.

In the meantime, these same “leaders” will give Obama and the RATS everything they want on a silver platter to prevent the MSM from saying bad things about Republicans.

When your universe is a few hundred people stoned on group think, I don’t think the GOP has too much to worry about here.

That is why the GOP is going down. They align themselves with government now instead of the Constitution and personal liberty of citizens.

It is time to stand up and challenge Boehner. He will not hold the line on spending. He does not oppose the transforming process of Obama.

Sorry, John B's gotta go.

The lefties attack Boehner AND conservatives with the same verve and vitriol. Yet, Boehner attacks and alienates conservatives. It’s a lose-lose for Boehner and RINO’s to continue on the path they’re taking. What’s left for them? Lobbyist $$?
