Conservatives: We’re ‘under attack’ on Hill

Conservative activists are hitting back.

More than 50 high profile conservatives signed onto a statement Wednesday responding to both House Speaker John Boehner’s harsh words for conservative groups earlier in the day and to the firing of the Republican Study Committee’s long-time executive director Paul Teller.

“It is clear that the conservative movement has come under attack on Capitol Hill today,” the statement reads.

Oh they absolutely bought the lie. Take a look at my post history for hours of reading. You will find every manner and excuse rationalizing that lie by many ‘good’ conservatives.

And don’t you DARE question their ‘conservatism”.

Makes me sick.

I do believe Libertarians are going to fill in the gap. If it means Rand Paul, I could live with that, short term. For one reason, the Libertarians take some critical air supply out of both the R’s and the D’s, maybe even incinerating the establishment types of both parties.

Long term, Libertarians implode for housing an unruly mix.

Considering Rand Paul’s proven track record of “ethical flexibility” We might just as well keep Bhoner and Co. in an either or scenario.

Well they would not fight when the cost was minimal. Neither would they fight when their interests and liberty were attacked.

Now we have arrived at the point where some will fight because they will decide it is better to fight and die than live as slaves.

However, there is this fact - there will be no victory. Because the majority will turn on them and betray them over the fear that anyone daring to resist will make their miserable existence, worse.

Because this is what happens in totalitarian and genocidal regimes.

But the majority would rather lie to themselves and insist that we are not become such and that such a regime is not possible because we have cable and beer and have Xmas shopping to do.

They have no idea what time it is, and they will fight to remain in ignorance rather than understand the truth, making people like you and I, targets for their fear.

No God, no blessing. Absolutely that is why we are cooked and shall stay cooked. We shut the door, favoring our own minds as our god, and He has lifted His right hand of blessing, turned us over to ourselves, and that is left hand of judgement we’re all feeling.

The good shall not be spared, but they shall be saved.

The GOP fights its own base with far more vigor than it employs in fighting the Dims.

That’s what is getting me, why trash your base?
doesn’t make sense to me.

Maybe john thinks the tea party is just a splinter
group as painted by the dems, but he should know
it’s bigger than that, or is it that he trusts the
dims more.

Sometimes I wish Ma never bought that World Book Encyclopedia for my 5th birthday. but she did. People like us who have the remotest clue of history see so many instances of history repeating. But none so blind, and all that.

I no longer fear whats coming as I realize nothing I can do will stop it. But I do want to survive it if only to laugh in the faces of the people who refused to care. But again you’re right. we probably are targets.

My real hope is that 500 years from now the history books of the time will show modern idiocy for what it is. Assuming the mutants occupying whats left can read and write them.

They are going to change the game pawns. They trade off conservative pawn pieces for more disenchanted Dems, and the Latinos (through Amnesty).

The game is not changed, just the pieces you shove around on the board.

Open your mind to the evidence that JB and most of the rest is/are Democrat. The rest explains itself.

Whats harder to believe? That or “America would abandon it’s people to Benghazi/Fast-furious” et all?

Seems a lot easier to believe Johnny is a lib than the others. But the others happened. So why is this so strange a possibility?

We fight fair and we don’t have mainstream media. FR is a lovely place where I receive hope and feel I am not alone, but I was so disillusioned after this last election here. We didn’t have any effect.

It is soooo frustrating to have that media out there telling all the low infos that black is white, up is down, bad is good.

The only reason any low infos are growing wiser about Obama these days is OBAMA HIMSELF OVERREACHING. We haven’t done much to inform and conquer. He has made a bunch of middle class people look like utter fools. Some (black and white and the rest) are starting to wonder if he ever really deserved his halo.

But all these bright FReepers who see what is happening, who know what is going on, still have perilous little effect on the country. How to be more active? What good does it do, when the media have told everyone that Tea Party people are stupid racists and then they frame everything according to the liberal fake world view? It’s like we need someone loud yet gentle who doesn’t care about his popularity (or infamy) to get onto media and just freaking talk PAST the reporter questions directly to the American people and let them know what is REALLY going on.

Rush Limbaugh has done a lot for this country. And my special needs kid who hates to read anything of substance and fought me to not have Rush Revere read to him, LOVED IT. But if Rush could do just one more thing for this great country, he should literally GO LIVE onto Greta and other shows, and do two minute explanations of current truths to at least the Fox News audience. Video would be key because it could be shown on other shows, and even if they cut it to ribbons, the whole thing could be found on YouTube. Rush plus YouTube just might get to low info voters. That is where teens and twenties spend a lot of their time.

I don’t know of another ambassador who is not afraid to be trashed (he has decades of experience with it), who can explain everything succinctly and with humor, and doesn’t get all emotional/angry and squeaky like his friend mark Levin. I wish he would, or at least that someone else would dare. Sadly Sarah Palin cannot get across to low infos. How many people has she personally converted to conservatism?

Rush converted me, and maybe a lot of other true blues here too. Finally I got it.

I know, but I really want to disappoint someone.

I wanna see Boehner & Co. gasping, aghast that the ground has opened up and swallowed them.

I could enjoy very much that some upstart party led by a crazed upstart pulls the trapdoor open under their feet, all because they were to cool for school, when they were really obvious, transparent, treacherous phirrannas.

But what could any good conservative do in the last election? And if all of us had not voted, where would we be today? I do agree that long term IF NO CONSERVATIVES VOTED for many elections, the establishment GOP would eventually at least lean a little to the right before elections. We would look stupid and certainly not attract anyone to our actions, and probably lose many who actually wish to partake in elections. It’s the only thing a lot of us can do.

Where is your end chess result with your strategy?

I don’t have an answer myself, I just want to let low info voters effortlessly (because they will not make efforts) learn the TRUTH about what we know and believe. Put it side by side with the liberal philosophy. I think we will win more than we lose if we are given a chance.

Yaelle,

We will NEVER reach anyone with conservatism until we live it. All my ranting on this and many other threads comes down to that. When we collectively claim conservative principles/values as the way to go, then turn around in the same breath and compromise those beliefs/principles, the average joe sees us as fools.

So until we rid ourselves of the enemy within our ranks, here we are.c It’s that simple.

That and get over the idea that we can do it all pain free. We took decades to get to the point where ‘conservatives’ can call voting in a Pubbie ‘no matter what” and be taken seriously. It will not be easy to turn it around. And it will not come without a political price.

So true. Today’s republicans are yesterday’s democrats and today’s democrats are yesterday’s Fabian socialists. Patriotic Americans need not apply. There is no home for conservatives but the tea party, free republic, and talk radio.

Your point is certainly well taken, here.

Maybe if their were less estrogen in the water, real men would have already taken care of this,....maybe. That Boston Tea Party thing really happened here, didn’t it?

You need to stop picking on my deceased relatives and the rest!!!

Offensive!!!!!

You try life after your children died in front of you of starvation, you are 50+ and living on filthy, cold wooden barracks in winter! no food! sick and dying all around you! and anyone who refuses to march is kicked and beaten! and they tell you to march!!

Until you have been in that situation, don’t disparage others!!!!

I think Norm meant to say he was leaving the Republican Party and not FR, but that’s just my take.

Simple. Physics shows that an object in motion remains so unless acted upon by another force. That force has to be great enough to bring the object to a stop before reversing it’s direction.

There is no gradual turning of the GOP. For nearly 30 years now we have moved left, not right. All the rationalizations and excusses for lesser evils et all have a demonstrated and proven result. What we live under today.

We will never get a conservative utopia any more than the libs get unicorns. That said, We can get a Constitutional America back. Eventually. But to do it, you HAVE TO STOP MAKING THE SAME DAMN MISTAKES that got us here. The Founders laid it out. It’s simple. But no one wants to do it because it’s hard and they have a house payment and and and...

You start by not electing liberals in either party. ANYWHERE. From school boards to Sherrifs to Presidents. And you will lose elections. But you will win others. That’s reality. But instil you BEGIN the process of telling the GOP to F’off, you exert no force whatsoever. And until you purge the enemy within, you exert no force whatsoever.

And had we done that after Bush 1 abandoned Reganism, we would not be here today. It’s most likely too late as it is. But you can either try or we can all download a copy of Fallout 3 to prepare for whats next.
