New York City Has The Most Homeless Children Since The Great Depression
Zerp Hedge ^ | 12/11/13 | Tyler Durden

At a time when Wall Street is absolutely swimming in wealth, New York City is experiencing an epidemic of homelessness. According to the New York Times, the last time there was this many homeless children in New York City was during the days of the Great Depression. And the number of homeless children in the United States overall recently set a new all-time record. Americans like to think of themselves as "the wealthiest nation on the planet", and yet the number of young kids that don't even have a roof over their heads at night just keeps skyrocketing. There truly are "two Americas" today, and unfortunately most Americans that live in "good America" don't seem to really care too much about the extreme suffering that is going on in "bad America".

“New York City is experiencing an epidemic of homelessness...”

Don’t they usually save that BS for Republican adminstrations? Everything’s always just fine and dandy under the dems.

OK, so New York has the most homeless children in the United States? That’s rough - but there’s still good news. Most of those kids grew up hearing they shouldn’t drink large sodas - that health tip’s what’s really important. They’ll be fine... all’s not lost.../s

yet, somehow, increasingly under Bloomberg, at least in Manhattan, you seldom see the homeless anymore, and I can remember when we saw them more often in Manhattan when the problem was not as severe

well. it was also Bloomberg that said New York “needed” all the illegals

and NYC’s unemployment rate is 8.9%

yet millions of homeless and I see illegals working everywhere around Manhattan

who said Liberals weren’t racist.

I fell for that story at the time... it was so outrageous it had to be true. Who could make up a story about an eight year old heroin addict? Really, who could do that?

Then later it was who could fall for such a story - - it was so obviously fake. Hindsight always 20/20...

This is just a warm up act for the incoming DeBlasio and his anti-capitalism agenda.

Reading the first line of the story is the "Tell."

At a time when Wall Street is absolutely swimming in wealth, New York City is experiencing an epidemic of homelessness.

Swimming in WEALTH! Wealth = Evil Republican, Evil businessmen, Evil corporations!
