Rats have defeated us... even when we had super majority status... think about that. How did they do this? They NEVER compromise and they work in the press and in education and they brainwash and propagandize over decades because they are committed to total control and implementation of their agenda and ideology and we have a leadership that has no ideology and agenda beyond more of the same and reaping benefits from their position and deceit.

Big government must be reversed but every time it got bigger in the last 80 years because of Democrats, the Republicans did not reverse it when they gained power.
**********
Of the last 84 years since the Democrats gained control of he House in 1930, the GOP has only had control of all three components simultaneously (Presidency, US Senate, US House) for 4 years total, or 5% of 84 years. One could make a case that they had less opportunity than people assume from the figures on the Presidency alone (about 50%).

I agree with a lot of what you have said, tho I do not remember when we had super majority status…..can you tell me when that was? Seems to me we had a lot of victories in the 90s that Clinton then took credit for, but it was applied conservatism that was being passed and signed.

Moreover, your point about the decades of propagandizing and so on is not something that this particular budget deal will address. Also, the libs are always accepting incremental wins, which is a lesson you conveniently leave out of your equation…..

The problem is the few good stuff will be stripped out by the Senate and 51 votes later, bang the Rats get what they want.

I implied incremetalism when I stated that they never quit fighting for their agenda and ideology. We can't get our side to get behind anything solidly and when we do... we can't herd the cats for very long. mccain will surely destroy any Conservative agenda that starts to succeed and he has quite a bit of help. Bottom line... the Sequester did more to control spending than this bill will and that is a fact... and they are all but eliminating the Sequester. We have two dim parties and republican apologists defending that reality and then there are those of us that are attacked for pointing reality out. You want to know what will happen at some point in the future... total collapse of our way of life... because of actions like this bill... because the gop/e NEVER want to gain control and if they do... they will give us a kinder and gentler form of this despotism and no one will ever stand up for the reversal of this suicide.

Taking your hypothesis at face value, just WHAT is the House (GOP) doing to prevent the same? Have Issa hold ANOTHER conference? They sure haven’t raise a stink about any number of encroachments and usurpation of powers by the Senate/pResident.

If they wanted to fight back, they’d be pounding the air waves, print and passing bills instead of this CR/omnibus B.S.

$23B/10years is a slap in the face for EVERY taxpayer. Where’s the damn ‘balanced budget’ plank these days (aside from the back of the coat closet)?!

The important part is that it takes the power of the purse away from the Senate/president - which they effectively had stolen via CRs and politics.

You could fertilize a field...The House willingly, per Boehner, gave it up. In as much as they gave up during the 'slowdown'.

All the House had to do is NOT go along with the farce and DEMAND the Senate follow their obligations (HOW many years did they let them 'slide'?!)

The important part is the increase in spending, increase in taxes for some more bullshit down the road. How many reports EVERY YEAR (from gov't itself too) that point to the BILLIONS wasted on dupe/overlapping systems? Medi-XYZ/WIC/Sec8/OPhone fraud/etc.!? This isn't a budget, this is (again) capitulation.

No. Instead, in those 4 years, we got TSA, NSA, No Child, etc. etc. etc.

Not ONCE, that I know of, has any law/dept/etc. been rescinded/abolished/0’d out. The best that came about was the ‘tweaking of welfare’, no termination, just refining the system.

Dems eliminated the normal budget process when they went to CRs.

They didn't "eliminate" anything.
CRs came about because the Senate, under that POS Harry Reid won't submit a budget and forced the House to pass CRs, which the House then should have told Harry to pound sand.

CRs have effectively removed the power of the purse from the House.

No, the House is too chicken to pass a REAL budget. Spending still originates in the House but the House is too afraid to wield their power. Like last time, they tried to revert to individual bills but it didn't work. Have you been hibernating? It didn't work.

Look, they don't need to do anything but pass an honest budget that tackles spending, reduces the size of gov't, and addresses entitlement programs. I don't want them passing individual bills, I want them to stand their ground

If all you have is personal attacks based on a screenname, you really are lost. Maybe it's just your anger over 0bama trying to take over all 3 branches coming out? I forgive you.

Oh please. My comment wasn't even a personal attack. If you really got offended by me simply stating that you should live up to your screenname, then I have no hope for you.

The normal budget process of passing individual bills was indeed eliminated. That’s why it isn’t happening now. I hope we can get it back.

The House DID tell Harry to pound sand. The tactic was not successful in getting the normal process back. It’s still a CR. What it WAS successful at was getting some focus on 0bamacare as that was publicly claimed as a reason for not approving the CR.

See, by passing individual spending bills instead of CRs, they WOULD be standing their ground. That’s why it was a deal breaker for Reid and 0bama. If they allowed individual bills to fund government, that would end 0bamacare. That’s why they’ll not ever wittingly allow that.

There was no offense taken from either your previous personal attack or this one attempting ridicule. Again, attempting to belittle others in an argument is a loser. Appealing to emotion makes it less likely that others will take you seriously. Like typing in all caps... It doesn’t help you.

The dictatorship of legislative leadership certainly plays a role in this because members who don’t tow the line put themselves at risk.

Real conservatives in any legislative body are being intimidated by liberal GOP leadership again begging the question about the need for a third party and third party caucus in legislatures to create a core of real conservatives who cannot be pushed around.

This is an historic time to get out of the way and let that lesson hammer away day after day after day.

Until it's firmly in place.

By what mechanism will it be removed?

You like it? It’s crap. All lies. Why do we always have to wait “10 years” for deductions that NEVER happen and are nothing but decreases in increases anyway?

Until they use zero based bugeting and not the lie of baseline budgeting (no private company would every budget like that) no spending will ever decrease. Much less actually eliminating useless departments within departments, etc.

It’s all status quo that gives Dems more talking points that RINO’s parrot.

and they agree to cut 22.5 billion in deficit spending over ten years.

That's $2.25 per year for 10 years. Roughly one third of one percent. Yeah, that's going to cripple us for sure.
