So, for Dan Blather to be correct, I guess GW Bush knew of the memo, set up Bill Gates to become one of the richest men ever, and as part of the deal got him to set up MS Word to exactly duplicate the type settings, proportional font spacing, superscripting, and line spacing of an early 20th century typewriter used in military bases. Oh yeah, and GW got Gates to make the font etc. used by that specific typewriter be one of the most common in the world.

Yup, that's it.
