U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., lost $18 million in a scheme that cheated him and about 120 other investors out of more than $35 million, according to court papers.

The Virginia man who ran the scheme, William Dean Chapman, was sentenced Friday in federal court to 12 years in prison. Prosecutors say Chapman used the money to fund a lavish lifestyle including a Lamborghini, a Ferrari and a $3 million home.

“Grayson had $18 million? He got cheated? Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. How long before he blames Bush.”

Looks like he may have “died quickly!” It could not have happened to a “nicer” more deserving guy!

Wikipedia says his net worth is $31.4 million. So he put nearly 2/3 of his fortune into one basket. A fool and his money....

Nice classic grifting, a Ponzi scheme. The trick is to have the getaway established and blow town just before everyone finds out the money’s gone. And, it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. ;’) How did that moron get $18 million in the first place?

He should have had fronts and other people using their names and bought an island somewhere in some corporate shell’s name and lived there.

In 2007, Grayson had $9.35 million in a stock portfolio that Chapman was supposed to be holding as collateral. In that year alone, the portfolio’s value increased by 147%, to $23 million, according to a chart in the court documents.

"Unfortunately, Grayson is worth over $50 million..."

He's worth millions but is always preaching the Marxist redistribution of wealth sermon. Pretends to be just a middle class working guy. Constantly crying about the poor. What a lying, phony sack of shit Grayson is. That's right. I'm swearing. I have no respect for the creep. None. Too bad the rest of his millions didn't get "redistributed".

I wonder if the IRS knows that Grayson had $18 million?

Hm.. If they want something real to investigate, I suggest that they look at Grayson like a proctologist looks at an asshole, but I’m being redundant.

Notice how we have to learn of this news from a British paper. The American news media serves the Marxist Democrat Party totally. It is nothing but a Democrat Party propaganda organ.

And I'm glad to see that Grayson made some serious money in his working life.
Now Grayson, you smelly bag of rotting offal, how about staying out of everyone else's private finances and stop trying to financially ruin the average American citizen.
