I work for the feds in a law enforcement agency. Never heard a positive word about Obama in the year and a half I’ve been there....plenty of the other.

If someone says something positive about Obamacare, and somebody else gets "stressed out" will they be instructed not to say anything positive ?

How so? An employer can regulate what goes on in the workplace. You have freedom of speech, but only on your time. COMPLETELY out of my mind? You have got to be kidding.

i always told employees that if they brought their personal crap to work they would be fired!

That included myself, anyone that wanted to contact me about anything personal had to call me at home between the hours of 7:00 pm and 5:00am or on Sunday, the rest of the time was work only!

Well, I think an employer has the right to limit non-work related activities during work hours.

This employer is the county government.

I'm sure that there are plenty of "progressives" that, should somebody post the 10 commandments in the office, the First Amendment absolutely applies in that workplace. (Forget the fact that plain wording of the amendment applies to the federal congress making laws, and does not contain the words "separation of church and state").

So, the very same amendment should be applicable to the government employer when it comes to freedom of speech, right?

I’m not the one saying this person has no right to free speech in a GOVERNMENT OFFICE.

I don’t want to get into an argument with you, but no I’m not a “disruptor troll” which is also a contradiction, because trolls are disruptive. You go on and think whatever you want though.

Once, a supervisor tried to ban the discussion of sports in the work place. A government work place, by the way. She got shot down on that stunt.
