"Facing Our Truth: 10-Minute-Plays - Trayvon, Race & Privilege" Will Be Presented at City University

"Facing Our Truth: 10-Minute Plays on Trayvon, Race and Privilege," a free showcase of plays and a folk opera addressing the subject of race in the United States, will be featured at the City University of New York Graduate Center Dec. 6, according to the New York Times.

The showcase comes from the New Black Fest and will be presented at 6:30 PM in the Graduate Center's Martin E. Segal Theater. A post-show discussion will follow the performance.

The evening will feature Some Other Kid by A. Rey Pamatmat, Night Vision by Dominique Morisseau, Colored by Winter Miller, The Ballad of George Zimmerman by Dan O’Brien in a collaboration with the musician Quetzal Flores, No More Monsters Here by Marcus Gardley and Dressing by Mona Mansour and Tala Manassah.

The playwrights were commissioned by New Black Fest to write about the subject following the protests and discussions after George Zimmerman was acquitted of killing Trayvon Martin.

Following the New York presentation, the work will be performed in other locations, including the Alliance Theater in Atlanta, GA; the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, CA; the Goodman Theater in Chicago, IL; Center Stage in Baltimore, MD; the Woolly Mammoth in Washington, D.C.; and The Public Theater and the National Black Theater in New York, NY.

The step-mother said

so we can surmise he went wild with Fulton.
She identified his scream in court, but she had no way of knowing.
They pushed the step-mother into the shadows, the only real mother he ever knew."

Trayvon should NOT have encouraged ... fellow thugs to commit murder with the tweet, “Plzz shoot da #mf dat lied 2 u!”.




Trayvon should NOT have had a police record FOIA Sunlight And More Trayvon Martin Police Records.

Trayvon should NOT have had Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin for parents, who didn't discipline their unruly son, when he needed it.
Then they refused to admit to themselves, at each step along the way toward this disaster, that their son, Trayvon Martin, had a real problem and needed professional help!

Had the situation been handled different by Trayvon Martin, he might still be alive.
For instance, what if it had gone like null and void suggested ?

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN: - Ummm, yes.

TRAYVON MARTIN: - May I ask why?
