I’m grateful, I’m grateful. LOL!
One of the biggest problems is so many drivers don’t pay attention changing lanes or nearing stops. They need to “test” their slowing/stopping ability at the place they are right then. You can NEVER assume that you can stop just because you put on the brakes. One day last week I slid clear thru a major intersection...VERY scary to put on the brakes, no matter how slow you are going, and not stop....just slide.
We are very warm. Always a curse.
I pruned the trees back and welcome the Old Man. :^)

I HATE ICE!
No....the ice had mostly melted by the time I left. I think I’ll probably have to wear them tomorrow, if I can even get from one town to the other. It’s been sleeting all evening. Might be a nasty morning. There were 92 accidents on the loop I travel to get to the mall. We just don’t know how to drive in bad weather. *sigh*
So it’s YOU!!! You have our cold weather. It’s supposed to get to 34 tomorrow and hang around 32 for the weekend.
Snow is beautiful to watch as it falls. Do you have a good spot, even if it doesn’t stick?
Thanks, Meg, for the cute graphic.
I just tried to go out on the deck to feed the ducks...it is a solid sheet of ice. Had to go back in, downstairs, get my spikies out of my car, back upstairs with shoes they fit, and THEN out on the deck with cracked corn. They work like a charm. d:o)
You, too, LUV..I’m in the house until this is over..The temp is stuck on 31..so no ice yet..
I wish it would snow instead of create ice tomorrow!
Snow would be way easier to deal with. It’s been treacherous around here...we are such lousy drivers in bad weather. LOL!
My pleasure, Kathy.
LOL..What’s with this cold weather here!?
I’m glad you have those spikes..I’d get some, too..but they are rarely needed here and I just stay inside when it is icy. I filled up the bird feeder early today and can toss peanuts out the door for squirrels.
I’ve been looking out and I don’t believe snow is visable..I’m one who will stay up all night to watch it snow..
I am glad you don’t have jury duty! I have finished “decking the halls”..and am now appeasing “The Back.”
When I lived in the midwest, first icy freeze of the year we’d go to an empty parking lot late at night and do donuts on the ice...just to get tuned up for the contrary steering of controlled slides. We had city workers that seemed to think road salt/sand was gold dust.
Stay safe!!!
Sending prayers with you as you drive.
Amen! :)
They didn’t even bother to sand our overpasses and they were icy! I just wonder what they were thinking! They have to know that we haven’t a clue how to drive on the stuff! LOL!
Thanks Kathy. Prayers to you, too...you have much more of the hazardous driving than I ever could! You’re a tough cookie! ;)
I hope roads are safer when you go to work..or you can stay home.
I can’t decide if I should go out and put ice melt on the deck or not. I think I’ll wait and see. Somewhere I have a second set of spikies so I won’t have to take them back and forth.
I would love to stay home on Friday (I took the day off), but I have to take the suburban to the mechanic in the morning to get the horn fixed, and my Mom to a lawyer in the afternoon, which should be interesting if it stays so icy, because of the wheelchair. I will reschedule if necessary.
Decking the halls might be this weekend.
Take good care of the back. Ice pack?
Ice packs all afternoon and early evening..I switched to heating pad to warm up awhile ago ..LOL
I do hope you stay safe! I know how treacherous ice is.
Ice is good.
We will try...if it’s too icy and I can’t get her inside, I will reschedule for spring. Just about nothing is worth a fall by either of us. And if they don’t have an elevator, all bets are off.
I can talk my way through a slide, but it comes very hard for me to actually do it, altho I have and it works. VERY SCARY!
